Alrighty We have The Black Hercules vs The Sniper Ken was gifted athlete not 1-punch KO power but a sharp hitter nonetheless However big punchers spell doom for Norton. Sanders was a dangerous puncher when fully motivated and never carried anyone, if he could get you out of there in a few rounds he would. So let's discuss. :bbb
Norton ranks higher obviously, but Kenny always had trouble with big punchers, so I think Sanders might well stop him early.
My moneys would be on Norton, just cause he got starched by Foreman, ****ey, and Shavers doesn't mean every single big puncher he faces will do the same. I think Sanders does have a shot of getting the early round knockout but I'd also give Norton a decent chance of turning the tables on Sanders and scoring an early knock out himself and should the fight go rounds I'm confident it would be to Norton's advantage.
Norton all the way, more endurance, dedication, and get real the level of competition these guy's faced was miles apart.... So what if Ken was KOD quickly by Foreman, better Foreman than Nate Tubbs... Sanders had horrible conditioning, and a bag for a belly that's why he was only a4 or 5 round fighter...
Yes but Norton never even seen the 5th round against Big Punchers. Sanders was also a very fast starter he had iron chin Vitali hurt, he beat up ATG Wlad and had Rahmen down as well. Norton got blown away by guys just like him. Really the matchup style favors Sanders.
I don't think that being a big puncher is a guarantee to beating Norton. Only one of them ever really did it to a prime version of Ken and that was Foreman. I may be in the minority but I actually gave the first round of that fight to Norton. That said, Corrie would be tough IF he came in good shape. Being well conditioned was something that you could pretty much always count on Norton to do.. Not the same for Corrie Sanders. If sanders could get to him early and finish him, then he wins. But Norton lingers around for a few rounds I think he could take control and stop sanders late or win a decision.
Norton easily outboxes retiree sanders that destroyed wlad in seconds, but I think you mean prime Corrie. That's another prospect, but true titlist Ken takes control late on to either outpoint failed contender Corrie, or stops him when he gasses out. Corrie was never able to achieve the level that champion Ken did - corrie was barely a contender when in his absolute prime. Corrie is only significant because he faced a rather weak h2h titlist, the first in history to fall instantly or at all to a retiree.
Sanders was quick, southpaw with fast hands and a fast starter. Bad for for Ken unless he gambled and went for it early and landed 1st or survived the storm and came on late. I favor CS if he happened to be in decent condition (which was not always the case)
Norton. By large. Heavy handed combination punchers bringing forward pressure were the type to get Ken out of there early. Sanders wasn't one of them and he was a very limited single shot hitter. The ****ysis so far as been way off the mark. Ken was an all around excellent boxer in movement , stamina , jab and counter hooks. Sanders wasn't on his level.
