Norton went 1-2 vs. Ali but most felt he should have got the win in their rubber match. A case can be made that he won the rematch as well... that means a case can be made that he should have went 3-0 vs. Ali!

Norton lost a split-decision to Holmes... a case can be made that he should have won this fight.

Norton also beat Young (close fight) and Quarry (KO5) among others.

Ali x3, Holmes, Young, and Quarry... not too bad regardless of the actual results... imagine somebody going 6-0 vs. this group though, Norton almost did.

Sure, he was stopped in 2 by Foreman... so was Frazier. His KO losses to Shavers and Cooney were at the end of his career. His KO loss to Garcia was before he peaked and it was avenged.

6'3" with an 80" reach and would probably carry about 220-225Lbs. in todays HW division.

Patterson was a great fighter. A bit small for HW but he did well in his era... maybe he would even do good in todays HW division?

6'1" with a 73" reach and would probably be just a little over 200Lbs. in todays HW division.

Patterson went 8-4 (8) in HW World title fights. He was the youngest to have won the HW title when he beat Archie Moore for the vacant title. Since than Tyson has broke that record but not by much. Patterson was also the first 2x HW Champ.

So H2H who wins? It's a tough pick IMO but I'm going with Norton by close decision. I think Patterson had more snap in his punches, especially the left hook, but I think Norton would be able to handle Patterson's power pretty well. Norton is the taller, bigger, heavier, stronger man wit a longer reach and I think he would use his physical advantages well.

No this forum is making it sound that way! People say they are good, but they are constantly refered to as chiny and I don't think either one of them gets selected by this forum to win ANY hypothetical fights...

A shame I think both are under rated and appreciated...

For the recored I think Floyd takes it, but that it would not be an easy night!

i agree,ppl are over rating norton because of his 3 fights with ali.patterson would take a disision over kenny i thnk might hurt him at some point as well
