70s vs 90s, two, similar-sized guys with entertaining styles that would no doubt have a tear up.

    Who does it go?

I’d say Moore takes a close decision with both men likely getting dropped at some points

Norton outworks this lazy slob easily. He doesn't have the punch to scare Ken and gets overwhelmed and stopped in 12.

I like Norton by UD or late stoppage. I think Moorer has some moments with his excellent combination punching at the fact that Norton didn't face a lot of southpaw heavyweights back in his day but ultimately Norton outworked MM and hurts him a few times along the way.

I agree, Moorer is a live dog and makes it a war.

Norton liked to bend at the waist, and Moorer had some killer uppercuts. If Norton walks onto one (I think he would), he's mostly likely going down. If he goes down, he's got a world of trouble to deal with before he can get back on top. Moorer did like to stay on the ropes though, and Norton can do some real damage here. When Moorer was hurt he didn't hold, he punched I think that gives us an awesome fight, and Moorer a loss.

Ultimately, Norton is better suited to this type of a fight and is the better fighter. He wins here.

Side note, I actually think Moorer is one of the trickiest HWs over his time. When fighting a southpaw you expect him to throw the left, and even then you don't always know what angle it comes from. What Moorer did was invert his 1-2s so they came from the confusing, southpaw angle anyway and he added a new whole new element to it.

It's a technique I like to use myself, but I'm obviously not Michael Moorer.

Yeah he gets a bad wrap for the Foreman loss but he did a lot of smart things as a fighter and was much better that he gets credit for. I still think he losses to Norton but folks seen to get a little short sided when discussing MM. It's always about the chin and never about the tools he brought. He was so good at taking away the left hand from conventional fighters.

Yeah, awesome little fight, but he seemed to have more brawn than brains when he tried to bang with guys so much bigger.

And not to forget how ententaining he is! His fights with Stewart and Cooper are closet classics.

These two are pretty evenly matched IMO. Shaky chins, respectable power, more or less the same size, both KO'd by George Foreman (two decades apart!). I favour Norton to take a decision because he's going to be more active whereas Moorer could switch off in fights. Don't count out MM though and don't be surprised if there are multiple knockdowns.
