Norton on points. Watch him fight Holmes, I thought he should have gotten no worse than a draw. He was a good body puncher, had an award herky jerky style.

Ha ha! I watched Ali-Norton 2 the other week and noted how badly Norton rocked Ali at times; I just can't see Spinks recuperating like Ali did if Norton tagged him.

As someone already noted, Spinks was hurt quite badly against an aging Holmes.
Norton was a better puncher than PRIME Holmes, significantly harder and a great body puncher.

I can't see Spinks going the distance. Norton would beat him down sooner or later, maybe 4 or 5 rounds, maybe 9 or 10.

Norton would get him. Kenny was murder to the body, a possible soft spot for Spinks.

That’s not entirely accurate. Each fight with Larry Holmes, Jimmy Young and Muhammad Ali in 3 down to the last one were very competitive fights. I would say Micheal Spinks could do as well as Jimmy Young or better.

I think Spinks could replicate what Young did. Although, I lean towards a Norton win. Spinks light heavyweight power didn't carry up to heavyweight, though he did bounce Cooney around ring.

Norton was usually coming in, hit hard. Michael didn't hit that hard enough to keep Ken on his back foot.
Spinks reduced to a punching bag in 6.

Spinks was an exponentially more skilled fighter than Norton, but he was not a natural heavyweight. I like Norton but not enough to bet cash on it.
