Saw this discussed in another thread n thought it was a good match up.

Thoughts? I think Norton gets his revenge.

If it is the 90/91 version then Foreman by ko again. Norton would not get any revenge, destroyed and humiliated again

Some will have you believe old Foreman is better than prime Foreman.

The funniest thing is that you think Foreman is the one who has to be defended here lol. Norton is the one who has nothing to do here and all the evidence is against him

Yeah it's about as funny as using Norton vs Cooney as some form of reference here. The Cooney he fought Foreman was nowhere near the Cooney who fought Norton. And the Norton who fought Cooney was nowhere near the Norton who fought Ali. C'mon, it's common logic.

Old Foreman never destroyed anyone remotely as good as Norton and lost to lesser fighters. The fact a one dimensional, AIDS ridden, Glass jawed Morrison could go from puncher to boxer and beat Foreman should tell you something. Norton could do just that. He was a much better boxer than Morrison.

Plus Foreman was nearly beat by Stewart and Foreman should've lost to Shultz.

    Norton would beat Old Foreman.

Oh so robberies/close calls don't mean anything? It's unsurprising that a clown like you would miss the point. The point was that Foreman nearly lost to fighter inferior to Norton, therefore Norton would do better and win. The underlying point was that Foreman failed to quote destroy these fighters and wouldn't do so to Norton.

And Morrison was destroyed by Michael Bentt, he ain't destroying Norton lmao

I don’t know. The young George Foreman of 1974 beat Ken Norton by backing him up and hammering him with a two fisted attack. The older George of the 90’s jabbed a bit more and threw overhand rights but didn’t swing for the fences as much. Of course he had developed other qualities such as a better defense and a more energy conservative pace, but I don’t know if these things would be advantageous against Ken Norton given that it made George more defensive than offensive. .. interesting thing is that the crab defense George utilized in his comeback was similar to the defense Norton used in his youth. Anyway, I’m undecided but I think Ken has a better chance this time and hangs around longer if nothing else.

Old Foreman of the Cooney and Roriguez fights gets to Kenny mid rounds. Too much power

I could see Ken doing this. The Ken who first beat Ali was literally packed with energy, very inspired. It's hard to imagine the lumbering George keeping up with him. I have to agree with @George Crowcroft here, Ken would have been a young, hyped up fighter with a lot to prove.

    UD, definitely.
