It all really comes down to Norton’s adaptability. If he has the discipline to use his advantage in speed, keep a steady work rate, not over exert himself and box Foreman getting in and out quickly, then he has a very good chance.
Ken really was excellent at wearing fighters down. He didn't have Tyson power, but still a really good right and left. And he was persistent as hell... I always love watching Ken throw that wide-but-mean-as-hell half-bolo left hook to the body. He would really spin his weight into it. It was a pretty brutal shot!!!
I keep picturing George taking a LOT of shots from Ken, and unlike the vast majority of George's 90s opponents, Ken would be oh-so-diligent at attacking that aged, heavy torso. I think Ken would get rocked badly a couple of times in the first six rounds, but the last six George would end up not entirely like he did against Alex Stewart, except Ken's victory would be far more clear in the eyes of the world.
I would still pick old George. Old George was not as ferocious as Young George, but he was much craftier. He still had big power and was more durable than before. So I think Norton catches him with a lot of clean shots and wins some rounds. Ultimately, Foreman gets through and punishes Norton for a KO maybe around 8.
Never cease to amaze how immortal Cooney and bugner are on boxing 24, who did either one ever beat? who was not from the home. neither one was rwlly "world class' oh Bugner safety first 6'4" took a good shot, is gonna go some rounds, but he's not ourt there to win, and could not break an egg. Cooney can eat breakfast and break some eggs, but he also never defeated a top contender of his time.
No he doesn't. Old Foreman was in many respects even better than young Foreman. Plus it's a bad matchup for Norton. So Norton loses again.
I actually think Norton beats Old Foreman, after all he was a million miles removed from the prime beast that Norton lost to. Old Foreman lost to guys who I would favour Norton to beat the **** out of.
I think prime Norton against the Douglas-beating Holy would have been a great fight, maybe even Bowe-Holy I level. Norton would have pulverized Morrison in 7 imo.
