the poor chinned heavyweight who troubled the best of boxers (Ali and Holmes) or the steel chinned atomic bull who sparked out lennox?
I go for Mccall knockout round
    Comments?

Norton UD unless McCall lands a special punch.

Norton by decision. He was as glass jawed as he is made out to be. He still took some hard shots, being KO'd standing directly infront of 3 of the most brutal and hard hitting heavyweights of all time is nothing to be ashamed of.

    Norton would systematically outbox McCall.

Bad style matchup for Norton. He would dominate early and get off to a sizeable lead as the slow starting McCall would come on like a freight train in the later rounds to stop Norton.

These are very different classes of fighter and I believe Norton's lack of punch resistance is unfairly blown out of proportion...like these things normally are, it seems. Norton by clear UD.

    The Black Russian of Death.

    That is the correct answer.
    Unanimous Decision

No one in their right mind would argue Oliver has the better chin but really, I don't see him having a better punch.

Why is that? What do you think puts McCall clearly ahead of Norton on that front? Maybe I'm just not thinking of the telling instances you might be thinking of. :conf

Who did Norton ever stop that would lead you to believe he had a better punch than McCall. Frankly, IMO, Norton has ONE win on his resume that is worth mentioning and thats the first Ali fight. He has one of the shallowest resumes of any HOF fighter. Please dont mention Young, who was robbed, or Quarry who was shot (and who Norton avoided to the point of not even wanting to spar with him when he was in his prime).

"I don't see him having a better punch." was what I said about McCall. You apparently read "NORTON HAS A BETTER PUNCH THAN MCCALL" for some reason. I do not personally see why either man would be definitively placed above the other as far as punching power. If you can tell me why you think McCall should be definitively thought of as the better puncher, I'm more than happy to listen. It might be more constructive than "blah, blah, blah, **** on Norton's career, blah, blah, blah".

They were both decent but not huge punchers, not much between them imo.

Klompton has a bug up his arse for anyone who has a difference of opinion or states something contrary to what his hours of reseach has revealed even though not everyone has the time to go as in depth as he does. Most everyone else has a sex life that gets in the way of researching Harry Grebs time in kindergarden for example.
