Ken Norton vs Pierre Coetzer

I agree with a lot of this, but I personally think Coetzer, though the two will have a great fight, gets badly cut and banged swole, stopped in the 10th. Norton's overhand was excellent and apparently underrated here.

 

Norton stops him, different class.

 

It's possible, Coetzer did tend to cut.

 

Agreed ,Norton is not koing Coetzer,but he might tko him on cuts.

 

But Pierre wins the mustache contest, to be held before the boxing match. On fact, Coetze puts a ko on Nortons upper lip.

 

It might be an interesting fight. Both men were fit when at their best and comparably sized. Both liked to fight in close. Norton had the better jab while Coetzer was great at working the body and the Inside. In the end I would likely favor Ken Norton’s world class experience to triumph over Coetzer’s rugged toughness. Probably a decision or stoppage on cuts
