ken shamrock vs tito ortiz

  1. would shamrock in his prime[was that the mid-90s?] of beaten tito in any of their fights?

    Tough one. Shamrock was a great shoot wrestler. But that was pretty much it. He was a stud in his prime back in Pancrase. But that didn't really include striking per se other than open palm's. Personally i think Tito would probably still tool him the same way he did in the first bout. Unless Shamrock pulls out his patented heel hook :yep
     
  7. i was just watching ken vs franklin, and the commentators were saying how well ken has evolved as a fighter. he was doing well in that fight until he slipped and got his head beaten in.
    its a shame when someone slips and then gets beaten because of that slip.
    still, a fighter has to pounce on any opportunity i suppose.

    so is he one of the old school that couldn't actually change enough to be competitive anymore?

    Well even in his prime he had little or no aptitude for the striking game, and even though it was effective, his main strength being the ground game, was limited, mainly, to leg locks and knee bars

    Most top 10 LHW's would beat a Prime Ken imo.
