Wow i didn't know that.. No wonder a lot of the ufc fighter winner suck in the ufc. Other than griffin and evans i don't think anybody else has won the title. I'm not including matt serra cuz he was already fighting in the ufc before that ultimate fighter comeback show. A lot of the ultimate fighter do get stupid in the house. No wonder dana white never said shiiitttt or get mad when they trash the house. Anyways good read. :good
Well we shouldnt hold it agianst TUF for not many guys winning the title its still a new show really only 5 years only so alot of these guys havent had enough time to develop and plus only a few guys ever become Champions though. Lots of guys have put on decent winning streaks and fought for a title like Nate Quarry, Joe Stevenson, Ken Florian, Diego Sanchez and you got guys like Jardine, Swick, and others who where Championship contenders at one point. As for that house I just forget what some of those guys do in there stick any of us in a house with only grown men for 6 weeks, no *****, no partying, people stealing your food, all you get to do is train like a dog twice a day, no TV, no phones etc it would turn us all bat**** crazy.
I doubt what he is saying is strictly true. TUF has developed so many good fighters. I doubt it is based on Spike executives picking 12 wacky characters and hoping for the best. It's probably a more accurate statement about The Contender which was a bit of fun.
true it will make anybody go crazy but the way they trashed the house every season and for dana to not say anything about it, i gotta agree with kendall that spike tv controls it.
this is when I stopped watching about 6 season ago, it was turning into big brother, UFC get ride on the show and put more money into shows on cable tv, Not everything on PPV. try to get a tv deal and do a show a month on spike or versus, get more people watching the sport.
Nothing surprising here. If they have a choice between a good fighter who's duller than dog****, and a slightly lesser fighter who's got a personality, of course they go with option 2.
According to chuck liddells book the first season was entirely UFC run, funded and organised.. but ive seen the rest have the interviews with the tv excecutives on the special features of the dvd's.
