He says on Facebook that he's occupying his time by lifting weights as a result, with a "Tyrese body on deck". :yep He was lined up to meet Jesse Feliciano on the Ward-Green undercard, but pulled out and was replaced by undefeated prospect Willie Nelson, who blew Feliciano out in the 1st round. Bad look. That could have been Kendall's thunder. Why ***** now when you just blew a good opportunity? Is packing on muscle really the best idea for Holt while waiting to land a meaningful welterweight encounter? IMO he should be focused on keeping his skills sharp, as power's not really a concern for him even moving up.
Holt's promoter even confirmed that he wasnt feeling healthy at the new weight so he had no choice but to pull out.. He needs time to adjust and he's not going to fight until he feels in tip top shape... R rated is going to be unleashed at 147
Did you guys see Willie Nelson? He's f'n AWESOME!! look for him to make some serious noise. As for Kendall Holt, there's only 1 fight that needs to be made: Holt-Torres III!!!
My first thought was "Isn't Torres still at 140?" but apparently he last fought at light middleweight! That was fourteen months ago, too - did he retire or something? :huh
Actually, Torres did retire. Dan Rafael spoke to Miguel Diaz recently (who worked with Torres in the past) and Diaz informed him of Ricardo's retirement.
