Surprising, but not really when you think about it. Holt's punch resistance is pretty poor and he has the attention span of Zab Judah. He's also mentioned contemplating retirement more than a few times in recent years.
Very surprised! Although Holt isn't a great fighter....he's still a top Jr WW. Kaizer is a journey man at best so Holt should have had an easy time with him. I just think Kendall had an off night and is NOT as good as most wanted to believe him to be.
By Kurt Wolfheimer at ringside In an IBF junior welterweight eliminator, Kaizer Mabuza (23-6-3, 14 KOs) scored an impressive sixth round TKO over former world champion Kendall Holt (25-4, 13 KOs) on Saturday night in Atlantic City. Mabuza took over in round three and punished Holt the rest of the way. Holt remained on his stool after round six. Holt was game, but Mabuza was just too strong. Time 3:00.
what!? im shocked and laughing at the same time, didnt this dude just claimed he was the most ducked fighter in the division?
Wow...that is pretty shocking. I'm also pretty surprised that he retired on his stool in the 6th round.
