In 2016 Japanese streams were hard to come by, when they worked they were relatively unreliable, low quality and we were unable to really record them with ease. Now, thanks to services like isakura and fujilive the game has shifts significantly and we have access to 7 day on demand services with great quality and fantastic realibility. Not only do we have the reality sorted but we also get access to channels that were previously very hard to find. Things like NTV, TBS, Fuji TV and TV Tokyo were rarely a MASSIVE problem, but G+, TBS2 and Fuji BS were almost impossible. I mention 2016 because that's when Ryosuke Iwasa fought Dennis Tubieron. That bout was pretty unmemorable but I was lucky enough to come across a partially working stream to watch it. That card featured a support bout between two Japanese Light Flyweights, Kenji Ono (9-1, 4) and Jun Takigawa (7-1-1, 4). At the time the bout stuck out as the highlight of the show, and was a bout I was desperate to get a recording of. Thankfully today G+ reshowed the broadcast in full, including that Ono Vs Takigawa bout. It's not as good as I remember it being, but from the final 15 seconds of round 6 to the end we get some great action, round 7 being a true highlight. And whilst it wasn't as good as I remember, it is one of those true hidden gems, which could have been lost to time had G+ not reshown it. If you have 35 minutes spare, I implore you to give it a watch. If you just have 3 minutes skip to round 7. You'll not be disappointed. This content is protected And going full circle, may I say we, as boxing fans, have never had it so good! The legal services liek isakura and fujitv have really helped make the Japanese boxing scene so accessible that it's a real shame we missed out on so many G+ cards over the years. I just wonder how many other bouts like this were missed, and could have been missed had technology not helped us.
