He was a great brawler and was fun to watch. But he deserves to be dead.

No, Arum got him a license to fight in Texas and was planning to have Pac-Valero after D. Diaz....that is before Oscar changed his mind on fighting the winner of the Cotto-Margo fight.

Valero would've beat the **** out of Pacquiao which is why Pacquiao didn't fight Valero at 130, and fought the old guys with names for money. Smart.

I really liked watching Valero fight, though he didn't get matched up with many top level fighters. As to his personality, there was a reason he couldn't fight in the US for a number of years with the metal plate in his head. I think he had some brain damage as a result of all that, throw in the drug abuse and it pains me to say so, but I think Pacquiao would've taken him out, in a fun yet one sided fight in the later rounds. Manny could outbox Valero and make him pay. Valero had great power and his level of aggression in the ring was every bit what you'd see in prime Tyson, but Manny would be too refined for him.

He had a shot because of his power but his lack of D would have been his demise .Had he grown into a better defensive fighter who knows .

Valero would have been a top 20 ATG had his life continued.

I think he would have had a trilogy with Pac and would have beaten him 2/3.

Maybe he would have lost the first one and then come back with adjustments and turned the tables.

Everyone who speaks of Valero on the internert videos speaks of him with total awe. The guy was not normal. He was unbelievable.

I mean the way he completely TOYS AROUND with guys like Antillon and Santa Cruz and Anchondo is insane. He made them look like total bums.

Pacquiao by KO 6.. Would of been a hell of a fight!

Edwin Valero was sort of an underground king, He had alot of potential. He just needed a good trainer and he needed to get his mind together.

I know that Edwin Valero would of got in the ring and went to war with manny pacquiao at the drop of a dime. He wouldnt demand 100 million dollars and special testing like that one girl.. I forgot her name!

I remember when he fought Mosquera and was knocked down. Mosquera fought withh a stupid game plan using his chin as defense but still it took valero for 10 rounds before he finally won the fight. My point is....Pac is many times better, faster, stronger, more power in his punch and has an iron chin than Mosquera. Valero is too wild and too open for Pacquiao. He won't last 6 rounds.

He looked ordinary when he fought Mosquera and was knocked down. Mosquera fought a stupid fight and used chin as defense but still it took 10 rounds for Valero before he finally stopped him. Pac is a lot better in many things than Mosquera. Pac will not go down in 10 rounds but could knock Valero several times and the ref will stop the fight fear of brain damage.
