I'm pleased to announce that Kenny Anderson will be back in the ring on the 29th November in Colne, having joined forces with ESBs own Kevin Maree. Kenny 10-0 (7Ko's) is raring to get back into the ring and is currently driving himself into supreme shape on the hills of Pendle ahead of his ring return next month. Having sampled a number of trainers Kenny found the facilities and training methods of Kevin Maree much to his liking and its now all systems go at the Clitheroe camp. Training with Kenny the other day I discussed his ambitions for the future and he realises that the time for hanging about is over. His ring return next month will be followed by a final eliminator for the British title against talented Paul David in January. He aims to lift the British title next year and the fiercly competitive Scotsman is adament he is capable of figuring at world class. Its safe to say thus far he has suffered from inactivity and distractions outside of the ring but the coming months look certain to see Kenny once again establish himself as one of the finest prospects in the UK. I know Kevins thrilled to be working with someone young and hungry, having worked with Micheal Gomez for his final four fights at the tail end of his career. Great News :good
great news for both,im sure they will wreak havock in the smw's.really exciting times ahead for kenny
Good fighter and a nice kid is Kenny.. I wish him luck and hope he does well!! Good luck to Kevin Maree too, He has some good facilities at his disposal and is a really nice guy too..:good
Always good to hear a decent Scot prospect getting back into the ring. Best of luck to him en route to the British title :good
Sorry guys a little over-rated for me, thought he was beaten in his last bout and got hometown decision, too many amateur traits
Nice one guys. Kennys working really hard and is looking really good. Thanks bomber (top man) looking forward to seeing you guys on friday!
Wheres he getting over-rated ? Compared to many that have had a solid amatuer record and grabbed medal, not much is said. He won gold then had a few probs with fight pulls, injury and not to mention outside the ring. The Gomez bill ? I remember from a few rounds on he was clearly not throwing right hands ( ****ed ribs confirmed this ) yet still taking the fight to the boy that was i certainly agree, slippery and crafty as hell. He still won, crowd atmosphere dont sway me either ( not watched the repeat ) Speaking to him about his training a cpl weeks ago, he seemed really happy with it, Mon - Fri then home i think, i didnt even know he was with Maree. He does seem very straight forward, if you mean his amatuer style/traits....kinda expected when he be banging them out. Still a very "young" pro for me and i think and hope, given a decent run, will come up good. My take :good
I hear what your saying buddy, didnt realise that his ribs were fecked, but he certainly wasnt himself during the fight, so that explains a lot. I think he looks a little amateurish cause he was banging guys out, maybe longer fights will help his style. I would be happy to be proved wrong cause he is a likeable guy, and scottish of course!:good
Good stuff!! I met Kenny at a show in glasgow just when he was turning pro, really nice big guy, was well up for getting his pic taken with a load of guys, must have been fed up by the end of the night But sound guy, good talent, hopefully he will be a little more rounded fighter, and could definately win the british title if he gets a chance. Would like to see him and Stevie Mcguire get it on, if Stevie is still boxing, would be a good fight for scotland:yep
Glad to see him coming back. Not sure how good he is because I have only read the boxing news write ups and the mad rantings of Jocks on ESB but he should be fighting among the best boxers in the British scene very soon.
