He was badly gassed and weakened to body but he wasn't hurt. Just gassed and struggling to deal with body work. Stoppage was early but i saw it coming because the ref was on toes anxious and determined to jump in if there was a sequence where Anderson was getting hit and in precarious position on ropes.

    Good post:good

I think Andersons argument is mainly the fact he was tired not hurt, give the man his 8 weeks training and a chance to make the weight properly and he wont gas like that.

anderson was gassed and CLEARLY hurt to the body and head, groves was about to launch another right hand whilst kennys arms dropped to his side through exhaustion, vbery good stoppage kenny would have been knocked cold by the punch that groves would have thrown, watch the ending closely!!!!!!!! still both men did well at 2 weeks notice imo.

At first I thought the stoppage was premature, but Anderson never complained. In fact it looked like he was glad to be pulled out to be honest...

I think it's a good idea.... from both points of view. The last fight was war, so the fans would like to see it again. Groves can test himself again by seeing if he can beating using he's head more and Hayemaker could take alarger sum of the money this time. Who's complaining?

That's just a style difference, not a difference with the way they were hurt. Groves was hurt far more than Anderson ever was. Even when Kenny was winning, he was still walking in straight lines and going spells without throwing or landing.

Anderson should have taken a knee before he staggered to his left.

He could have taken the count by which time he could have had a better shout of staying in the fight.

Anderson stopped throwing and backed off. He kept shipping shots and looked like he wanted out of there.

I felt it was a little early, but groves was going to beat the hell out of him in the remaining time of the round.

No way was kenny winning - certainly not by a large margin. I had it a draw - 3-2 to groves with a kd for kenny. But after his big 3 and 4, George had his legs back and was getting his shots off.

I'd love to see a rematch, but if Anderson was so deserving, he'd have finished groves off. And he didn't.

I meant become mandatory for the British. Groves will fight the winner of DeGale vs Smith, so Anderson can get in line to fight the winner of that.

the arguement about Kenny being prepared to give Groves a rematch so Groves should be prepared to give him one if just moronic. Groves is the champion and the bigger name fighter. It was a voluntary, voluntary's generally have rematch clauses.

How is it moronic? Groves is champion of nothing significant and was pushed really close by Kenny Anderson. The fight could've easily been stopped towards the end of round 3. Groves was in a much worse state than Anderson was

I happen to think that Groves would win a rematch anyway and I wanna see him fight DeGale soon so I'm not really pushing for it but I think it's definitely fair that some people feel Kenny should get another chance against him.

If Groves next Commonwealth title defence is agaisnt someone thats not as good as Anderson I will say "why not have a rematch??" like allot of you guys.

But if his next title defence is agaisnt someone better than Anderson like a World ranked fighter, someone in the EBU top 10 or even Tony Quigley nobody can complain. Or if Groves team, knowing he has the DeGale or Smith fight in the Spring take an 8 rounder in Germany or the USA you cannot complain either.

You have to remember jsut because Groves is a domestic champion doesn't mean he should be treated like one. His team and allot of his fans think he can become a world champion, so at the moment he is a prospect, and prospects need to fight guys with different styles, strentghs and weaknesess. Anderson was a tough fight which Groves came through, does he need to prove anything....perhaps, but can he learn anything more from an Anderson fight I don't think so.

Also theres no way Kenny was winning the fight. Groves won the 1st, 2nd and 5th rounds. Kenny won the 3rd and 4th (I would still give that to Groves), plus the knockdown, so it was even going into the 6th, which Groves was clearly winning. If the fight wasn't stopped when it had, Groves would of seriously hurt him and the stoppage would of com 30 secs later.

Totally disagree Groves was in a worse state than Anderson. Groves was still throwing shots. Anderson was on the ropes, had been hit 10 times

Champion of nothing??? He is the Commonwealth champion, and a big name, which means he can headline a Sky show or be on a PPV undercard in a title defence? Could Anderson headline a Sky show with his Celtic title??? No. Groves is the champion and the bigger name so his team can demand rematch clauses for voluntary defences. Thats why its moronic to suggest Anderson should get a rematch because he was contractally obliged to do so if he had beaten Groves....which he didn't

As I have said in other replys, I agree with you on the last part.

this is the thing everyone calling for a rematch was banging on about how Kenny would win the fight when it got made. If Anderson wasn't ready he should of turned the fight down. end of story.

He wasn't ready took a chance and it nearly paid off, now he's asking for a rematch with proper time to prepair, if Groves is the future world champion some people think, you would think he would want to give Anderson a rematch prove he just had a bad night at the office.

There is noway Adam Booth will let Anderson any where near Groves again, Groves can't cope with his style, I don't think they will push for Degale either expect Groves to fight complete bums in his next few fights.
