Parris made a very good call, Kenny was exuasted and was not going to throw back and no Anderson was not winning the fight easily up until that point, dont be silly. Groves got himself back into the fight the previous round before destroying Kenny with brutal body shots the next.:good
Paris is the worst ref in the U.K he is corrupt beyond belief. Why would Groves have to get himself back into a fight if Anderson wasnt winning?, Groves was getting a beating and couldn't cope with Anderson's style which is why Paris stepped in at the first opportunity to ensure the home boy got his victory. To say Groves destroyed Anderson is very stupid he was still standing for ****s sake, if thats Groves destroying someone then he's in big trouble
If he fights bums from now on he will rightfully be criticised but if his next fights are against better fighters than Anderson, which Booth has said they will be, nobody including Anderson can complain.
you can still bring yourself back into a fight if your not winning. Groves was in trouble and after the 3rd you would of thought he was on the way to a loss. but he took control of the rest of the fight and stopped his man. it may have been a quick stoppage but it was just delaying the inevitable. When Groves was in trouble he was at least throwing shots back and using his feet, tried to slip punches. Anderson was just cowering into the ropes after being hit with 12 (i watched back and counted) shots, some were were big. also at the time of the stoppage, anderson was on his feet but he was against the rope and his head was facing the ground and there was no complaint.
I said he destroyed him with body shots in the last round you fool which i feel is undebatable, im glad you were not the ref because Anderson would be suffering from head trauma if the ref hadnt stepped in. Did you even note the fact that Kenny didnt complain about the stoppage. **** off with your conspiracy theories, great stoppage from a poor referee.
A rematch would be good but I see it being a clear UD for Groves if it were to happen. I agree with the point above that Groves is also a prospect and needs to fight guys with different styles so not sure what would be gained by a rematch in that regard. It was a lesson for Groves alright, that he can't hang his balls out with a guy that can punch and he needs to tighten his defense and be more disciplined
