What a disgraceful stoppage! Cotto wins the last 3 rounds easily and he stops it for no reason when they are in a clinch. How can you allow a fighter to take so much pain then take away the one thing left he was fighting for. Pride. He was very poor throughout and never warned for the low blows and headbutts either. Shocking display.

He bottled it on the big stage.

To be honest the ref could have stopped it earlier.

However i do feel he was buying into the hype by giving Pac the stoppage in the 12th to make it look even more impressive.

What exactly was the point of suddenly stopping it there?

Yes cotto couldnt have won but he definitely could have gone the distance.

Cotto's corner were ready to throw in the towel at the end of the eleventh, his defence had gone and he wasnt throwing enough punches, apart from being very badly marked up. I have no problem with the stoppage at all. Also I think Kenny Bayless is an excellent ref.

    On the contrary.

This fight had NO clinches or someone holding. After the Dirrell disgrace boxing needed a fight like this. I liked it and his refereering regarding not allowing even the shaddow of a holding was good and needed.

The stoppage was nott that necessary, but on the other hand didn't change the winner most likely. However, I wouldn;'t have stopped it.

Cotto easily won the last 3? I gave him the 10th. Maybe he should of let him finish since he survived that far but your scoring is bs.

    You're punch drunk.

Cotto was just running to survive.

I also thought the stoppage was a bit premature. I don't think Cotto was in any immediate danger of being KOd. However, it stopped him taking some punishment and I don't see it changing the outcome.

So overall I am not going to argue that the stoppage was bad, but if people say it seemed early I would agree.

Bayliss... it was a poor stoppage, but what else could Cotto do? He'd won the tenth cause Manny had taken a break, then in the 11th he got battered again. Bayliss just didn't want to see Cotto take any more.

The ref isn't in his team.

His corner should have pulled him out after the 9th where he basically got battered the whole round.

You need a new tv or something dude. I gave Cotto the 10th, when Pacquaio took the round off, that was all I gave him after first.

Which 'last three rounds' did you think Cotto had won? I hope to God you're including the 12th (even though it only lasted a minute?), otherwise you've managed to score a round to Cotto where he was getting absolutely pulverised....

Pac would have knocked Cotto out cold if ref had not stopped the fight.
