    Bad stoppage.
    It was a title fight.
    Cotto was a belt holder.
He always has the power to ended it.
He was losing but wasnt hurt.
The fight was stopped with Cotto slipping a couple of punches and clinching.
    Bull****.
Bayless doesnt deserve to be a ref.
It looked like there are alot of people lining up to suck Pacs dick.

While it was a bit of an early stoppage (Cotto deserved to finish the fight, IMO), Kenny Bayless is EASILY one of the best refs in boxing.

Stoppage was ok- I think Pac was pulping Cotto by that stage- of course Cotto would rather lose on a UD. Cotto won only I think, 3 rds.

I would have liked to see Cotto continue on as well. Quick stoppage.

What a ****ing idiot. Cotto won the last three rnds. He must have been winning these rnds so bad that his father and corner wanted it stopped. His corner stepped on the ring and was about to wave it of cause Cotto was winning.:rofl:rofl

Winning the last three rnds. You are a ****ing idiot.

everybody wouldve like to see Cotto till the end but what if the last 30 seconds if it continued and Cotto had taken more damage and could possibly died because the ref did not stop the fight. **** happens.. Idiots.

shouldve stopped it sooner. it needed to be stopped but he stopped it at a really awkward time. it was not a mercy stoppage. mercy wouldve been in the 10th he was taking a brutal beating then but he took one flush shot in the 12th and it gets stopped. bad timing.

I got one name for you- Z Gorres. This thread is idiotic. Kenny Bayless is easily one of the best refs on the planet. Cotto was barely defending himself, except for running away for all of the 11th and the 12th. At one point Pac even looked to Bayless to stop the fight in the 12th because he didn't want to keep punishing a valiant warrior like Cotto.

Idiots here just wants to see a massacre. Dumb pricks. What if Kenny did not stop the fight and Cotto sustained more damage and died in the hospital? It couldve made a difference. Bunch of FOOLS!

They are probably the same type of fools that prefer the UFC over the sweet science.

it would have been better if the ref just let cotto finish the fight, the man definitely deserves to see the final bell.

but cotto's corner themselves were already contemplating about stopping the fight at the end of the 11th already, so i don't really blame the ref. it's just that it is his responsibility to assure the safety of the fighters.

Bayleff did an excellent job last night, so I don't know wtf you're talking about. He gave Cotto a chance, and stopped it at the right time.

LAS VEGAS-Filipino contender Z. Gorres slumped to the floor after out-pointing Luis Melendez and was taken on a stretcher to a nearby hospital on Friday. Gorres was knocked down 30 seconds before the final round ended, beat the count and was given the decision by the judges. The 27-year-old was then was celebrating around the ring when suddenly his knees buckled and the fighter was immediately put on a stretcher.
The popular Filipino fighter was taken to the University Medical Center in Las Vegas where he was placed in critical condition. No word on the outcome or whether Gorres (31-2) will undergo an operation. The Top Rank fight card took place at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.

We’re sad to report that bantamweight contender Z Gorres is in critical condition and undergoing surgery in a Las Vegas Hospital at this moment to relieve pressure on the brain. He collapsed after winning a ten rounder over Luis Melendez. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this great fighter.
Update: Following a successful surgery, Gorres will be kept in a coma for several days to stabilize his condition.
