How about you stop breaking the clinch too soon and let them fight it out? It allows Floyd to reset and Maidana has to work his way in again.
If you think he just had a bad night at the office you're tripping. He was paid off beforehand by Al Haymon. Maidana had no chance from the outside. Floyd knew that and so did Bayless.
MM had a Ref let him get away with murder the first fight. Floyd had a ref that suited him for the second fight. Thats evens IMO
Floyd has had American refs for all 47 of his fights. All American fighters do when they fight at home. Floyd, B hop, Andre Ward, and Broner's combined total number of fights is 170. The ref has been American at least 167 times. America's best fighters rarely fight outside the USA. All the big fights take place in America. So the deck is almost always stacked in American fighter's favour. Is a massive advantage for them. Like Manchester United playing all their games at Old Trafford with a Mancunian ref. Maidana was fighting 3 opponents. Floyd, Bayliss and frustration. It was absolutely pivotal Maidana got inside if he were to stand any chance of winning and Bayless deprived him of doing that and it wasn't a coincidence..
I cannot believe some people are expressing surprise at Bayless' performance. He has ALWAYS protected Floyd. Bayless is far overrated as a ref.
Bayless appears to be Void's personal referee. Bayless kept the fight on the outside for Void, he allowed Void to hold all night.......................no wonder Void will only fight in Vegas................
