I think Kenny is fine. Its not like Pacquiao would rough Floyd up. He isnt Maidana. Pac will stay mid-range and throw combos. Unless Kenny will interfere while Pac throw combos, which is unlikely.

True. I don't see a lot of clinching or rope action anyways. And even when Pac pressures someone on the ropes, he doesn't smother them. He still fights at a slight distance.

He was a little too trigger happy breaking maidana off of Floyd in their second fight. I wouldn't say it was to the point of favoritism, but it was a bit much.

Anyway, he's a guy with a lot of experience in championship fights, he would be an excellent choice for this matchup.

 

Well put. It's not Manny's style to smother against someone or have them pressed for long periods of times on the ropes. This should be a fairly easy fight to officiate, both of these guys are elite level fighters who don't fight dirty and don't do much holding at all.

Like Kenny Bayless, Cortez was a respected referee until he suddenly got blatantly biased toward certain fighters. Are their problems incompetence , intimidation or blatant corruption?? You must decide but I know what my feelings are

 

Yep and PAC's team should insist on a non-american ref and judges

 

It will for sure be a pro floyd ref that will allow him to duck below the waist and break them up any time floyd looks in danger of taking a punch back
