I'm still undecided for this 'bout. Something is telling me that it could be like Sherk vs Florian, but Joe Daddy aint strong like Sherk or dont have his wrestling. I'm excited for this fight, really excited. I hope Florian take it though, and even if Florian lacks power, Stevenson, don't have a great chin. I've seen him shaky and wobbled at least in 3 fights. But he has great BJJ. Who takes it?
You are correct Stevenson isnt the wrestler Sherk is and for that he will struggle. Stevenson has decent boxing skills but Florians Muay Thai has got better in every fight ive seen where he displays it I see him wearing Stevenson down with lots of leg kicks and winning a decision. If Joe can get it to the ground although hes got impressive GNP and BJJ im certain he wont be able to use it to great effect on a execellent ground fighter like Florian. Regardless though im glad its happening and it would be perfect if the winner fights Sherk for say the interm title on the mandatory challenger for BJ and the Lightweight title.
On paper its Florian, but I just have a hunch that Big Daddy pesky as hell..hes not Sherk but I can see him catching Florian on a Guillotine as well Now Id give the slight edge to Kenny though
Florian is a very accomplished Jiu-Jitsu guy I dont see him leaving his neck out there for Stevenson.
Sometimes a guys build can be his demise though. Kenny has a long neck and Joe is pretty good at sinking it. When I picture Florian winning, I picture him stunning joe then finishing with gnp.. When I imagine Joe winning, its catching Kenny in a guillotine.
I always think Florian is going to lose, and I do this time to, but in reality, he has become a very good fighter, and unless he gets caught in a guillotine, he will probably win to my amazement yet again.
Florian is such a smart fighter, I don't see him getting put in a position he can't win. I doubt he'll be able to finish Stevenson though, so he'll have to give up on that as his phrase.
