    Round 1 Iwata 10-9, close
    Round 2 Iwata 10-9, close
    Round 3 Iwata 10-9
    Round 4 Iwata 10-9
    Round 5 Iwata 10-9

Rene running, Iwata running after him, Rene landing counters in combination, but none of them are phasing Iwata. Iwata's wicked hooks to the body, thudding rights, which have almost become jab like from Iwata definitely are. Iwata starting to smack him around now, lands a huge left hook which rocks Rene a bit. Hard right to the body late from Iwata.

Iwata parrying the jab far more effectively, Iwata's pressure is suffocating and almost GGG like at times. Still Rene is jabbing almost incessanly, Ree landing some decent rights over the to and uppercuts. Iwata gets him to the ropes, Rene holds. He dances away pepperin him with one twos. Iwata's jab starting to fall short. Rene lands a decent right.

Santiago is running for his life here. He does land the occasional clean punches, but there is little weight behind them.
IMO Iwata has arguably won every round.

Rene lands a one two, keeping that persistent jab pumping out, snapping Iwata's head back with it. Iwata starting to jab his way in himself, landing power jabs to the chin. Looping the right over the top, which prompts Rene to hold. Rene jabbing to the body and head. They trade body shots. Iwata swinging and missing a lot.

I guess I'm seeing more in line with the commentators. I appreciate the quantity of Santiago

That's true of the first 5, but Iwata has been woefully inaccurate in the last two.

Iwata amping up the pressure this round, Rene leaping in and holding a lot more. Iwata with a lot more head movement, high guard up, getting in close, landing hard jabs, Rene holding a hell of a lot now. Iwata clubs him to the side of the head. Iwata in close, lands uppercut and hook. Rene with an uppercut of his own. Rene darting in and out, flurrying with one twos late.

 Santiago´s legs simply won´t slow down. I am genuinely impressed by his consistent footwork.
Rare to see someone utilize lateral movement with such ease for the entirety of a fight, even at lower weights.
And he has eaten quite a few body shots.

5-4 Santiago. Iwata's letting this get away from him massively
