Ree outworking him, then Iwata lands a monster overhand right, then a hook, a body shot jolts him back across the right. Iwata then allows imslf to be outworked down the stretch.

I was bothered by it at first, now I am admiring it. He is consistent, effective and since the 6th round has been landing a lot of clean punches - much more so than Iwata.
And in the last few rounds Santiago has been sitting down on some really clean power punches too.

All he needs is a stronger jab, ala like Sergio Martinez had.

Iwata bringing some hardcore pressure now, in close smothering the effectiveness of Rene's flurries, landing some powerful short hooks on the inside, whipping in overhand rights. Iwata snapping his head back with some combos. Rene still jabbing well, but not quite enough to steal it back. Iwata with a solid right late.

Rene sitting down on some of his shots now, Iwata in close, Rene holding, Iwata tossing him around, attempting to overpowr him. Iwata with some head flying rights, Rene taking them well. Rene with some combos inside, Iwata lands a right, Rene grabs his waist. Iwata falls off balance after missing an uppercut by a mile. Rene standing his ground, firing off a volley of one twos down the middle.

    115-113 Iwata

    114-114 is fine as well.
