Teraji remembers body shots are a thing, and suddenly the combinations come back and he starts to beat the **** out of Buddler. Ref waves it and probably saves Buddler from something bad happening.

Great stoppage, Budler was ready to go. Teraji is a very good fighter.

    Round 1 Budler 10-9
    Round 2 Budler 10-9
    Round 3 Teraji 10-9
    Round 4 Teraji 10-9
    Round 5 Teraji 10-9
    Round 6 Teraji 10-9
    Round 7 Teraji 10-9
    Round 8 Teraji 10-9
Round 9 Teraji wins by TKO

Teraji closing down the range much easier, Hekkie is becoming more and more stationary. The vicious body shots and one twos and one two threes up top are relentless. The end is nigh. Then Teraji eases up, Hekkie not taking advantage. Kenshiro turns it back up, Kenshiro clips him with a shot as he's attempting to exit. He's hurt. He backs to the ropes. Kenshiro pins him, unloads, he's wilting, Prompting the ref to wave it, no controversy here.

Excellent finish from Teraji once he finally managed to hurt Budler.

Teraji needs to get that unification with Jonathan Gonzalez or he needs to move up.

Kenshiro mentioned in the post fight interview he wanted to go for the third belt (presumably Gonzalez and not Nontshinga) next. Hopefully neither one is forced into a mandatory fight. Kenshiro has Carlos Canizales, a dark horse of the division, while Gonzalez has Masamichi Yabuki as his mandatory, another banana peel type fighter. If they do fight next year, Teraji should be able to blitz through Gonzalez, who always has been bit of a glass cannon. IMO Nontshinga is more of a challenge and could beat Kenshiro.

But yeah, for what is the last big show of the Summer. All the fights were good from beginning to end! :chuck:
