Airing very early on Tuesday afternoon (1pm local time in Japan, so technically 11pm the previous evening - as in tomorrow, Monday - for those of us on the American east coast, and 8pm on the west) . WBC Youth world flyweight title at stake, Hatanaka's second defense. There will be a global live stream courtesy of CBC (big ups to asianboxing.info for spreading the word), available here: https://www.asianboxing.info/asian-...iendima?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Biendima has generally only lost to high-grade Asian regional opposition, but this upset would be his biggest achievement by far. The fact that he was stopped by Chinese recent world title contender Wulan Tuolehazi (with a 33% kayo ratio) is troubling, given the young Japanese fighter's seemingly fearsome power thus far.
@Boxing Prospect do you know if that start time of 1300 is for the main event, or the broadcast? If the former, that would actually make for the rare super-convenient Japanese card, for me. It would mean by probably midnight I could be heading to bed and get a decent night's sleep before work the next day.
According to JOSC the show starts at 13:00 so I'm not sure, it's not the longest of cards (3 4 rounders, 1 6 rounder and 18 rounder before the main) though
Yeah same (not sick but have class early)...particularly not for somewhat of a mismatch, with all due respect to Biendima.
