This guy recorded all the ring walks (and some amateur footage of Tanaka vs. Taguchi, round three I believe) from ringside...and so I scrolled through his Twitter feed in the hopes that he might've uploaded at least part of Hatanaka vs. Phoyaem ...alas, no, but he did capture the celebratory backflip Kento did. Currently in Round 3, Hatanaka looked like he was half asleep for the majority of the first two rounds, then realized he was in a boxing match at the end of round two, woke up and went to work.
Going into the 6th, Kento's right is a thing of beauty, its better right than some guy's who are almost twice his age. And he seems to have a solid whiskers, in spite of the fact he doesn't even look like he can grow a beard. He got nailed with some bombs in the 5th, he needs to shore his defense up quite a bit.
The 6th-8th were beautiful, especially when he started busting out those Moves Like Loma in the 7th. His combinations, savage left hook to the body, persistent jab and straight right are all immaculate. Solid match and good learning experience. It took him a few rounds to warm into it with a better opponent, but once he got his motor running, damn. I love this kid
Thought you'd dig that performance. Glad you got to see. You worried about his D as he continues stepping up?
Yeah, a little, he got clipped with some shots that would level some fighters. He can't risk taking one of those from a P4P fighter with heavy hands. Its far from perfect, but its not bad. A little tweaking should do the trick.
