Kermit Cintron - Did he get a raw deal?

Margo loaded his gloves for both fights. Cintron got ****ed. So did Cotto.

Margacheato needs to get his ass beat in Puerto Rico...

I think he's been cheating since Rodney Jones but then again that's just me.

 

Fair enough...I thought he started loading up after he lost to Daniel Santos but its pure speculation on my part as well.

 

Thats absolutely ridiculous...he's gotten away with 13 years of loaded gloves? How inept are the sporting commissions? You let your dislike of the guy influence your opinion to a fault.

 

I think thi hate is getting out of hand.. I mean ****, Margo and his people aren't some amateurs.. They are veteran pros and they know better than anybody else about the risks of cheating.. If anything, it was a one time thing.

Cotto was getting sent on ***** street by Corley who he outweighed by some 17lbs at 140. Loading up his gloves against someone with a shaky chin is pointless and high risk. Styles make fights and Cotto was perfect for Margarito.

Now Mosley has 3 times the chin of Cotto and maybe Capetillo thought it would look really impressive if Margo knocked him out for the first time. In hindsight it was a really really dumb move on several different levels. First it's not worth getting caught and second you should never try that **** against Richardson; a guy that always makes fighters unwrap to mess with them psychologically. Lastly, those little thin pieces of extra gauze even if coated thinly with plaster won't make a huge difference in power. There's very little extra weight nor density to contribute to any great effect to punches in my opinion. If he took out the padding around his knuckles or dipped his whole hand in plaster then maybe that would have a great effect on damage.

Getting caught like that really threw Margo off his game. He looked totally distracted and unfocused upon entering the ring and got his ass kicked for it. I initially thought it was the weight trouble rumors that have been floating around his camp. Maybe that also played a part in Capetillo's decision to try and pull one over on everyone.
