Just how much has he imprioved since the Margo fight? I watched his impressive KO win over Mathysse just now, and after the bout he was saying how that fight should be taken off the record books, as he's a different fighter now.

Is this the case? Has he improved under the tutelage of Steward, maybe so much so that he is a legitimate threat for the elite at 147lbs?

I think he improved a bit, but not enough to beat Margarito in rematch.

Some of people here that have seen most of his fights say he is getting tagged more now that Stewart is his trainer, I don't really know.

Kermit Cintron has improved under Steward. He has become more relaxed in the ring, but he needs to improve his defense. Hopefully, with time, he will become better at keeping a distance to create room for his long, powerful punches. That would start with improving his jab. He has fast hands, a decent chin, and concussive power, so he's a legitimate threat to any top welterweight. I see him losing to Williams though.

People seemed to go abit over the top with Cintron when he stopped Matthyse, all that proved was something we already know and that is he can REALLY punch. The Estrada fight was very close before Cintron knocked him out, and is his only major fight he was dominated. Cintron has alot to prove IMO.

Even if he wasn't considered an elite, hes still be dangerous cause he is probably the hardest puncher at the weight..

At the moment, I'd pick Mayweather, Margarito, Williams, Mosley, and Cotto over him. I would feel the most uneasy with Cotto because he is a smaller swarmer and could be caught at the end of one of his big shots.

No he's the same fighter he was when he fought Margarito. He has no heart and it wasnt tested in the fight with Mathysse. If he fights Margarito then Margarito will make him cry AGAIN :good

I unlike most people will pick Cintron(who in my mind is unproven yet) to defeat Williams(who is way overrated in my opinion). By knockout even. Cintrons punches are now straighter and is better technically now(something that MArgo doesnt have). Believe me when i say Cintron will win. Just look at it Margarito has power like Cintron(actually i think Cintron has more power) and thats about all he has other than endurance and he still gave Williams all that he could handle. Just imagine if Margarito had mixed that power with some straighter punches and better technical boxing. He would have won and most people know that. Thats whar Kermit has and will use against him and finally people will know that although Paul Williams is good he is not great.
