He got his ass whooped less than a month ago is this a good idea? IDK
How could his body have recovered from the Molina fight he must need the cash .......
Sad **** but then again this was the norm in the 50's so who knows...... interesting none the less

He thinks he lost that out of ring rust. He's trying to be more active.

Its a good idea. Ring rust is a possible excuse for his poor showing against Molina.

Cintron has his detractors to be sure but hes never looked as poor as he did against Molina and hes fought much better fighters.

I had never seen Cintron that slow and sluggish as he fought against Molina.

This, it literally looked as though he was fighting underwater.

He's just trying to stay active which is a good move for him really.

I agree that staying more active can only be a good thing. He needs to shake the rust off and try and build himself back up if he has any hopes of landing another significant fight.

Given how most fans view him though, it's going to be tough.

Who cares ... Cintron is done and he was never that good to begin with. He had a big right hand at 147 but I just find him to be mentally weak and he can't fight on the inside at all.

Two things to consider: Ronnie Shields fighters can not beat Carlos Molina, and Cintron did twice the amount of sparring to prepare for the fight to get the rust off, which imo wasnt the best idea as he clearly had nothing come fight night and lacks the mental toughness to overcome adversity in they ring. Cintrons never been that good, but hes still decent enough to beat C+ fighters and is ESPN worthy. Hes not gonna be a major factor in any division again so why not cash in a bit more while he can.

Cintron's brain is Cintron's problem. Always has been. He and Pavlik should trade notes on career-destroying choices and behavior.

Pavlik never just folded in the ring though.

Mentally weak or not... there was something else wrong with him against Molina.

He just never even got going. You have to agree that he looked completely different.

As beefman says - like he was fighting underwater.
