Harder to call because Cintron has hands that will light you up and a wrestling background. Wrestling and boxing is a great mixture. You can control where the fight goes but also finish the fight. Obviously Cintron hasn't been training in MMA or mixing his wrestling/boxing but having done both to a very decent level, I'd be suprised if he wasn't making leaps and bounds within 6 months. Unlike Toney, he is generally in good shape in between fights so he would be able to get right into practicing technique every day.
do you actually know anything about Cintrons background? or are you just saying that because one is a "boxer" and the other a "mixed martial artist"....
Seriously does it matter? Cintron is a pro boxer. He used to wrestle. Frankly so what? If he's up against Penn under MMA rules its over in seconds. Obviously under Queensbury rules likewise he schools Penn. These type of threads have been done to death. Let it drop into thread "bolivian" where it belongs.
It really is dumb how people think because fighters have a wrestling background or whatever they can instantly step on professional ufc fighters. The only reason Brock did it was because he's a big mother****er with a scary amount of speed, and the only reason Mercer got that knockout is because Sylvia was too dumb to know his role. It's just so silly.
Cintron could be a threat if he trained his ass off for months and started with easier opponents. Also if he had a heart. Cintron would be in tears against wrestlers.
Cintron was a good amateur wrestler about 10 or more years ago he just isnt going to be prepared at this stage to stop the takedowns of a BJ Penn. I see this fight going similar to the Penn vs Duane Ludwig fight.
This content is protected Really?! You may aswell post who wins; Danny Williams or Todd Duffee... no one gives a ****! Lynchburg
It would be a crap fight...but I still think you guys underestimate boxers...espically ones who do have a good wrestling background. Honestly a sprawl isn't the hardest thing to learn.
