Kermit Cintron Vs Joel Julio

I say Kermit has the edge in boxing intellect only because of his exp. It would be a cracking fight though as both are not defensive techs and both will attempt to knock each others heads off. I'm not sure who hits harder I'm thinking Cintron has more boom in his punches and Julio more bang.

I'll go with Kermit TKO 9th.

Walter Mathaysse has a solid chin and Kermit just turned it into mashed potatoes. I see guys like Mosely, Cotto, PBF basically breaking him down over the long run but the potenancy in his punches are so dangerous you'd be a fool to think he did'nt have a decent chance at starching any fighter in or around his weight class. It was scary the way he just unleashed the combo on Walter he look like a man possessed when he attacked Walter in those last seconds.

 

Cintron by KO. Julio doesn't have a great chin, and he still sticks it out there way too much at this point in his career. In a few years he might be able to box around Cintron, but then again, I'm also fully confident that Cintron will be a quality well-rounded boxer a few years from now. People forget how raw Cintron still is, and if he hadn't won a belt so young and stepped up his level of competition so early, then people would be talking about how he's a future P4P fighter. Probably won't happen anyway though; I doubt Julio could get down to 147 if he wanted to at this point.

 

Brickhaus I guess you feel the same way about Cintron as I do, the guy has probably every single tool you want in a fighter but he was and still is a bit raw, with fine tuning he should be able to wipe out the division. One thing you can't teach is genetics and Cintron is built just like Hearns and has that Hearns power to complement. Manny is one intellegent business man....Ali, Hearns, Lennox.......Cintron he knows potential greats when he see's them its all about the fighter materializing and filling out that potential.

He really does need to fight Margo, revenge is a dish best served cold.

 

He's scared of Margarito that's why he says the fight should be erased. And I think the people in this thread picking Kermit need to remember Kermit doesn't have a good chin himself. He didn't allow Matthysse to hit him with a left hook and got the knockout. If Matthysse would have set up his shot's better he would have knocked Kermit out.

cintron would be the favorite.....but julio has the kind of power that might force cintron to check his balls at the door like vs margo.

I favor Cintron in this one. More experience, a bit more handspeed too. Julio strikes me as an offense-only fighter, and not one who adjusts particularly well. Kermit's style looked very tight and efficient vs. Matthysse.

Good fight, but I suspect we might get Cintron vs. Williams.
