Kermit cintron vs. Joshua clottey

Kemit's power punching will be neutralized by Clottey defense and that would prove to be the story of the fight. Clottey will counter him to a UD.

I think Kermit takes him in this one. I'll even go with Kermit stopping him. This isn't Corrales at Welter we are talking about here and I could easily see Kermit hurting him. I've seen Kermit fight live and the ****er hits really hard!:hat

Based on the fact that Kermit will be the hardest puncher he has ever faced. Kermit will try to use the jab and peck away while trying to land the hardest overhand right in the welterweight division. That peakaboo style of Clottey is not good enough vs a guy who hits like a mule kicks. Kermit will split clotteys gaurd with his punches. I also dont know why Clottey gets credit for beating a small welter in shot Zab and lossing a fight against Margo in which margo too went into a fight with injuries. I also think Kermit learned alot from his last Marg loss.

 

I saw Kermit's last fight in Nashville, and though N'dou, is hard to look good against I thought he looked terrible. There was no plan or technique and he seemed like he was treading water.

Considering he fought Margo twice and in the rematch Kermit did nothing different to suggest he learned anything, I'd say your dreaming.


Clottey rarely takes clean punches and when he does he's never been hurt. Cintron meanwhile has obviously been stopped twice by Margarito who is a fellow opponent to Clottey. In Clottey's fight against Margo he was far more impressive than Cintron was and it is viewed by many that he may have even won that fight had he not suffered a hand injury. Of the two fighters it's clear that Cintron has the more suspect chin and durability.

Also there is nobody on Kermit's resume that even comes in the vicinity to Zab. Zab might not an elite welter but he is a skilled fighter whose speed poses a challenge to anyone. You want to talk about fighting smaller fighters when Zab's skills and accomplishments completely outclass Lovemore N'dou who is a blowup lightweight; and btw, "Mr. mule kick fists" failed to KO. Furthermore Kermit lacks the heart, defense, and adjustment abilities to compete against the elite crop of welters. He'll be a great gatekeeper but nothing more.
