Kermit Cintron vs Williams II

Controversy aside when it comes to the fourth round. It was clear upto that point that Williams did not want to engage Cintron in the middle distance, but it was also clear that Williams did not have the skill set to beat Cintron clearly from the outside (Cintron is a boxer with a good amount of skill in his own right.) So in the fourth round when Williams went to the Williams way of winning thing, throwing punches and leaving defence out the picture, he got tagged by two big shots (you surely aren't going to argue Cintron doesn't hit hard?). After that we can argue all we want about what happened.

The fact is Paul doesn't have the defence to makes sure he doesn't get hit constantly from perhaps the biggest (he is definatly one of the biggest) puncher at 154. You might not like Cintron, but don't let your feelings towards how you think he represents Puerto Rico cloud what Cintron can bring to a boxing ring.

 

I understand where you're coming from but Cintron just doesn't have it...period. yes he has the shkills, the talent and the ability but hes weak. Every time he feels the heat HE WILL CAVE. We have seen it plenty of times. I don't know why this is even a question at this point. Cintron is ***** and fights like one.

 

Once PW turns it on and Cintron catches him with a straight right i think PW will go down again. I have been saying this for a while. PWs chin is cracked son. Once a chin is cracked it just takes one hard blow to bring the memories back and its all over.
It would really benefit PW to learn how to box and block punches but even when he tried to box with Cintron he looked horrible. Its when he tried to turn it up that Cintron stunned him.

I know Cintron is a ***** and all but with his power i doubt PW wants him again.

 

What about when PW gets hit now? YOu dont think he will also cave?

 

Cintron hit Margarito plenty before collapsing. Margarito's pressure is pretty tough. Margarito has a better chin than Williams, and hits harder.

I agree this rematch should be made. Williams is not a hard hitter and he's gonna be in danger of being KO'd all fight long. If Cintron takes his time and tries to time Williams, at least for one round he can definitely put his lights out. Williams has 0 defense. Cintron hurt Williams in the first fight.

 

No. First of all have you ever seen PW not want to fight? So that and his style in itself tells you the type of mental state he has when he steps into the ring. Martinez was throwing bombs at him the first fight and he never looked as though he didn't want to trade. He got KTFO by one punch and now PW will cave???

Cintron will fall under his pressure like he always does.

 

Yeah I don't think Cintron has the will to take him to the top of the 154 pile. He does cave in too easily and he does seem like he loves to moan which puts me off him even more. I just don't feel Paul has the chin of say an Antonio Margarito to force Cintron to fold like a wet tissue and I also feel Paul's style plays right into Cintron's hands. I really thought the first Williams fight would be Cintron's climb to the top echeleons of the 154 division after his poor showings against Margarito at 147 and Martinez at 154.

 

I just feel like you're expecting too much from Cintron...something that he has never shown before. So why would he change now? He won't. Williams makes him quit or wins by UD.

But thats why the fights the fights my friend. I rather see Pavlik/Williams then this fight, but if this rematch happens and Williams wins.....get ready for the aftermath cuz I will be talking **** lol.

 

Cintron was doing well in the opening rounds against Williams - but the most likely scenario is that Williams would have found his rhythm and begun swarming Cintron as the fight went on ultimately causing Cintron to quit.

 

I'd expect nothing less

Cintron will lose by decision or quit...most likey quitting in some crazy ass way. I can't wait till someone knock him out cold. God I will watch that every morning for two weeks. I hate him with a passion.

 

Its not just that one punch KO. ITs the way his chin has been lately. He used to never get stunned. Now that his chin has gone it will only get worse for him unless he reinvents himself ala Barrera.
And im sure all other fighters took notice which means they are gonna load their shots up on him and with PWs defense they will land.
I can see PW getting KOd by almost any notable opponent.

Man you really hate Cintron dont you? And you are Puerto Rican from what i gather. Normally Puerto Rican will die for their fighters.

 

I though Williams was starting to come on a little right before the first fight was stopped. I'd expect him to win the rematch

 

Hell yeah I'm Puerto Rico de corazon! He is a disgrace to our country, our people and our nation's sport. He should be shamed of himself to even try to clam Puerto Rico after all the time he has quitted. He needs to quit the game and stop putting Puerto Rico to shame.
