Haven't watched the replay, but I thought it was a draw watching it live mate, to be honest. The one point for the elbow cost Berridge, as did not getting him out of there in the final round. Foley was good to go.

It was very close and the point deduction no doubt hurt berridge. I still had berridge edging it but only barely. A rematch should settle this... Everyone who i was with that watched the fight thought Foley had a padded record and it flattered him.

Foley was very lucky to get the draw. In fact he should have been stopped after the knock down. Instead shipley stood him up straight after the 8 count and let him go on. Proper home town job that one.

This was cooked guys, not only that but a legit knockdown wasnt even counted, he had to knock the guy down twice before the referee would do his job. The judges involved have also been known in the past to cook cards.

What rounds did you guys give to Foley? you cant win a round just by landing one or two big shots, you must be landing an accumilation of punches. Foley knew he had lost, pitty the corrupt judges did not. In NSW boxing its not about what you know but WHO you know. Had the NZ guy been from AUS and Foley from NZ you can bet that the judges would have given it to the Berrage, he was winning just about every fckn round, how could they not?

Foley got his ass handed to him by a smaller fighter who took the fight on short notice, AUS boxing cant have that, simply fixed, they turn it into a cooked draw. this wasnt a close fight, Berrage outworked Foley and outscored him most of the fight.

wow , i didnt notice that, just proves to me that these guys are in someone else pocket and its not their boss Craig Waller. The guy was hunched over, referee leans down to grab his gloves and prop him back up so he dont miss the count! good catch!

To me i feel that NSW boxing and other boxing bodies in AUS must not have much staff because why else would you put up with this and allow it to fester and contuine. If we are to clean up this sport in AUS it needs to start with this lot, home town cooked decisions need to be stoped. This was one of them, from shonky referee to dodgy cards.

Watch the fight without the volume also, the commentators are bias and favour Foley, makes a huge diffrence when you dont listen to them and just watch the punches being thrown, if we were to count all punches and landed, im sure those who thought it was a draw would indeed be suprized, just count one round to see what im talking about, you dont recieve 10 punches to land 2 and win a round lol

Berridge took the fight on short notice right?

I was talking to a nz am kid at the fights on fri night. He was teling me how hard berridge wacks, that he isnt fast, very crude, but hits as hard as anyone. Anyway fwiw...

I missed this fight, will have a peep. You would think with a decent prep, berridge is a moral based on what ive heard.

yes m8, late notice and he gave away weight. I would have demanded Foley drop a bit more and make him sit in the sauna all day, he was flabby not cut up anyhow.

They also gave Foley a SLOW COUNT! watch the clock, the ref is counting half as slow as the clock is counting down, pmsl! WTF, infact Foley is out by the count of 10, he is slouched over , ref grabs his gloves and props him back up. It should have been waved off, not to mention he fails to stand upright at the 10 count.

I picked this up watching the clock, it appeard that the clock was going faster than what the referee was counting so i ignore the ref count and watched the clock from when Foleys bum hits the canvas and the count starts, he is out at 10. Slow count helps him.

    This is DODGY.

Since when did NSW referees start to assist a boxer in standing upright after a knockdown ?

Very ordinary night for ref Shipley. Should be reprimanded, disciplined or demoted for that pathetic display helping Foley up.

You guys arent suggesting that refs and judges here are crooked? Lol

To get the gig, you have to prove you cant lay straight in bed.

Only watched it on the night haven't seen the replay but while I feel Berridge just won it was hardly the robbery of the century. And what would be gained from ripping Berridge off?
