I like Matthews. His fights are allways entertaining.

 

Round 3 was a very good round, this fight is heating up

 

29-28 Matthews. Pretty close round and I think he took it at the end.

Good scrap.

 

I have it Matthews 29-28. Much better round for Rees in Rd.3 for who upped the tempo, cut above Matthews eye from accidental headbutt.

 

Round 4

After that crack er of a 3rd round both fighters come out a bit slow. Rees is circling to his left. Rees jabs, Derry takes a step back making him miss. A sharp jab by Derry, Rees missing wildly with a left hook, jab by Derry again. Rees bobbing and weaving trying to make something happen. Jab, misses, Derry just backs up a bit. Now Rees gets inside, left hooks to the body and head, Derry fires a right hand, and backs up. A little three punch combo by Rees. Derry jabs, and Rees rushes in, and hits Derry with a right hand, misses with a left and a right as Rees rushes him and bulls him to the ropes. And now, Rees' trunks fallen off. Ref fixes them and Rees doubles the jab. Derry backs up, and lands a little left hook as Rees jumps in.

Round 5

Round 5 starting off like a bit round 4. A bit slow, Rees jabs to the body, Derry jabs to the head. Rees with a nice little left hook to the head by Derry, Rees doubles the jab and lands a right hand as he rushes in. Derry with a jab, and now Rees again rushes in a lands a couple of clubbing right hands. Big left hook by Derry, Rees with a right hand. Winging right by Rees misses, 1-2 lands for Derry, and another big right hand by Derry. BIg right hand by Rees, and now Rees lands another right hand, AND ANOTHER RIGHT HAND BY REES and Derry holds on as the bell sounds.

 

close round, they both landed big right hands, I gave it to Rees
48-47 Good fight

 

Rees wins Rd 5, Matthews looked shaky at the end of it although he landed a few of his own shots too. Rd 4 could have been scored either way

 

Rees starting to time that step-back left hook by Matthews, and starting to take over the fight.
57-57 after 6 for me

 

Round 6

Mathews corner taking their time a bit getting Mathews out there. Rees comes out and is looking to hurt Mathews, Mathews isn't boxing. Rees with a right hand, left hook to the body as Rees is like a little bowling ball coming in. Rees bobs and weaves a little jab lands for Rees. Rees with a clubbing right hand as Derry backs into a corner and slips away. Derry trying to establish a jab, but Rees slips both land the right hand and Derry backs to the ropes. Rees pushing him, they wrestle and hold, Rees with a big right hand, Derry's right eye is bleeding bad now. Left hook by Rees, right hand by Rees, he's bent down on the ropes and he holds on.

Rees has taken these last two rounds and is taking over.
