Having read an article on a rival boxing site (think you know which one) it appears that Mr Kayes has decided to stick by his long term friend Billy Graham and has refused to work with Hatton any longer.

Bearing in mind the fact that Kayes is generally considered the leading boxing nutritionist in the UK, how do you feel it will affect our Ricky in his next bout.

I suppose the team will become even more threadbare when he will inevitably lose his ace cutman Mick 'The Knife' Williamson.

So now he has his money mad father, chief hanger on Paul Speak and lawyer Gareth Williams looking after him. Couple of questions......

    1. Who the **** is going to be the trainer?
    2. Who is going to shed 3 1/2 stone of excess blubber?
    3. Who is going to keep his eyes in full operation? (Probably not relevant in the fight!)

God knows how all this row originally started, but it seems Hatton has been seriously mis-advised or has become deluded as to the reasonings behind his loss to Floyd and less than stellar performance against Lazcano.

    Your thoughts please......

I can't recall his name, Hatton has worked with him before, his brother left to work with him recently as well.

    Lee Beard

It did Matthew a great deal of good in his last fight. He threw a grand total of about 15 punches a round

Do people rate Kayes highly on here then?
    He can be replaced.
If it's a moral debate then maybe Ricky should have stuck with Graham and co till the end but they have obviously fallen out so will just move on.

No doubt Kayes can be replaced, but who else would be willing to take a look at him and raise only a wry smile - as opposed to telling him to **** off.

I don't see Malignaggi beating Hatton, but Ricky needs to get his head in order and think about what he is doing :deal

Whatever about fancying Malignaggi to get the job done, I think saying he is going to KO Hatton is a bit overboard. I doubt Malignaggi could knock me out! He carries no power and, even though Hatton look vunerable in his last fight, I just don't see it happening even in Malignaggi lands his best shot flush.

I just don't think it will effect him in that sense.
He isn't going to change his boxing style at this point in his career and to a point with Kayes he's done what he wants with his body anyway.

Hatton is winding down in his career now and I just think he is going to do even more hitting then holding type stuff to win rounds.
I wish he had retired after Floyd or at most after a farewall type fight against Lazcano.

I doubt Hatton has what it takes to beat Malinfaggi and I doubt this news will have any bearing on the fight.

I think Ricky does do what he wants out of camp, but certainly has turned up on the scales on top shape with the exception of Collazo.

Will he do it this time?

I always quite liked Kayes and I don't like the turmoil in the Hatton camp for his build up with Malignaggi. This needs to settle and fast. I don't rate Lee Beard that much and with Kayes out the chips are starting to stack against Hatton.

Hatton had a great team around him. He's lost 2 out of 3 vital people.

Exactly. People are saying Kayes can be replaced, & yes he can, but I don't think a guy will just come in & do as good a job as Kayes did in respect of getting Hatton in solid condition i.e. maximize his strength, supervising his diet, etc.

IMO, Kayes was/is an integral part of team Hatton, even more-so because of Ricky lifestlye outside of training. Hatton has admitted since Kayes has been on board, his diet has improved so much, & making weight has been a lot easier than it was before.

Kerry's motivation would not be financial, because I'm pretty sure he never got paid to work Ricky, that he did it off his own back. You might find that hard to believe, but Kayes is already a millionaire through the CNP range, so maybe it is true?

This is far from ideal preparation for his next fight. Where the fcuk is Ricky going to train, who's going to train him, what the fcuk is going on lol?
