Where does Kessler fall on your p4p list if he wins by:

    -sd
    -ud
    -ko or stoppage

    Forgot mine:

-sd: 6 (depending on controversies, etc)
-ud: 4-6 (depending on how wide it is)
-ko or stoppage: 3 or 4

Obviously it depends on the outcome of the fight; controversies, etc but I was just curious where people may have him at if he wins!

In my mind he would be pretty high on the list if he wins. But if it is The Ring we are talking about I think we would be lucky if he is better than No. 8.

    Impressively: 3
    Close fight: 4-5

Depending on how you rate Calzaghe as well. Right now, Calzaghe is #3 for me.

Im sure whoever wins by whatever means is still going to be mysteriously behind ****ing Winky Wright...

The Rings P4P ratings are an absolute joke.

If he stops Joe he will be about #6. Wins a pretty wide UD about #8, controversal decision right where I have him now about 12-13.

You do have a point there. Joe would really be his only "big name"....but a big name it is

I dont even have him in the top 15...sorry, I take alot of heat for it, but I think the guy is overrated to a point (I do think he is a good fighter, dont get me wrong).

I mean, he has good skills, power and speed, but this is his first big test. He has beaten some good fighters...but this is the first GREAT one.

If he wins, regardless of how (unless its a VERY dubious decision...but I dont see that happening), he will be in the top ten...beating the man who I have #3...but top 5 is a huge stretch. Maybe a win vs Joe, coupled with another big name or good to great fighter and then you could make a case...just not yet.

Of course, I think he is going to get beaten Sat. rendering this all moot....but I digress.

without giving you any heat, I'd just like to know who you think are the 15 fighters who, pound for pound, are better than Kessler at this point.

The Rings top 10 all deserve to be higher than Kessler at this point.

Calderon, Juan Diaz, Mosley, Pavlik all deserve to be higher.

Others like Chris John & Guzman can be argued to be higher.

The way it is, even Calzaghe doesnt deserve top 5 spot right now and 8-9 is about right. For someone who hasnt had a legit competetion in 10 years it is amazing how much respect he is getting. You can base it on head2head all you like but head2head is largely subjective and can only be measured on competetion. I fail to see for example how beating Calzaghe is a bigger win than beating MAB. Calzaghe is OLDER than MAB and you can argue that Calzghe looks better in his wins but against whom? MAB made easier work of Juarez than Calzaghe did of Bika and Juarez p4p is a better fighter than Bika. I fail to see how beating Lacy is a bigger win than beating the undisputed MW champ of the world who was actually undisputed and had 2 victories against Hopkins. Taylor was 10* more proven than Lacy ever was. Even Guzman has a win over barios who is probably on the same level as Lacy. SO yeah, Calzaghe barely gets into top 10 so Kessler must be lower around top 15.
