Kessler 2007 vs Ward 2010

Andrade, Mundine, Siaca, Lucas, Beyer all highly ranked at the time they fought Kessler. Tell me who he ducked to fight them.

 

kessler would win this fight by late ko providing that there was a neutral offical in the ring that understood that headbutting an opponent is an illegal tactic.

if this fight didn't take place in andre wards backyard (as unlikely as that is) then i'd go for kessler by 3rd round ko.

either way, its such a shame that calzaghe ruined kessler as a fighter but that is what calzaghe does to fighters who dare to trade toe to toe with him.

 

This is ridiculous.

Kessler hasn't really "won" a fight since he was in with the likes of Hausler and Sartison.

Those are the guys he built his record with.

He gave the fight of his life against Froch, gave 100%, looked like a Mutant and then got a hometown decision.

He was decisively beat by Ward and Calzaghe.

He will again be beat by Green.

That's what happens when you load up your record with paper champions.

andre ward laid the blueprint on how to beat every super mid whoever lived. fight in your home town with corrupt officials and headbutt them all night till they can't see out of their eyes.

ward is just another in a long line of american hypejobs. in 2 years time people will be talking about him in the same light as jeff lacy, jermaine taylor, and kelly pavlik :deal

Kessler has lost speed and his punches are not as precise, this thread has attracted 2 sides of the spectrum, IMO kessler gives as good as he gets but still loses a decision

 

I posted prior that based on prior exploits Kessler
would beat Ward. Unfortunately it wasn't the same Kessler I based my opinion on that showed up.

I to pointed out the Mundine fight.
Ward fights almost just like Mundine did/does. But the happened before Calzaghe. Just like Lacy was ruined by JC so it seems was Kessler. Lets not forget the emmy winning acting that Hopkins put on to save his but against JC.

I also posted that if he didnt
KO Froch, that meant he cant pull the trigger anymore. Look at the sloppiness of that fight. He just doesn't have it anymore.
