I really hope to see Kessler fight Froch, Bute and Ward before hanging them up. I would love to see Bute - Froch and Bute - Ward as well.

I'm guessing Kessler wanted a payday and belt from Stieglitz before a high risk fight the likes of Bute/Froch or Ward.
Anyone know the real reason why Kessler didn't take the fight though?

i honestly dont think either fighters are ducking each other...
    Its about timing and marketing...
I honestly dont think its going to happen till AFTER Bute fights the S6 champion.

Exactly what happens if Bute gets beat by Kessler BEFORE fighting the champion? He loses his undefeated record AND he loses to a fighter who didnt EVEN make it to the S6 finale! How about getting your heads out of your asses and actually look at the positions the fighters are stuck in....

Sensible post but I assure you that Interbox and Bute wanted badly to fight Kessler before the super 6 winner.

    [QUOTE=Jepster;

I don`t understand negotiations? You don`t understand how ridiculous became Kessler` words. I don`t sustain the ducking just how somebody can look after his promoter make him look like a runner...

I dont see a probelm with Kessler going for the WBO paper title before going after the IBF paper title.

As I know, Lucy is the champion and a big seller also.

Leaving the Montreal as the beltholder? Are you hearing yourself? He`ll probably do with Pavlik cause of small risk and with Ward/Froch winner cause will be more belts to win.

Won`t be common boxing terms. If Kessler wins with Stieglitz and Bute with Pavlik,Lucian wiil get Froch/Ward winner. Will have 0 or two belts. Kessler will have to wait.

There`s only one rule in Montreal, Lucy puts you on your back or has wide UD.First Andrade fight was the exception from the rule.Brinkley was saved in the 5th by his American fellow referee, so it`s even.

You make Bute sound desperate... I don't think he is.. only some of his fans..

Bute's people have said many times over the past years that "Bute is not ready for Kessler". Suddenly when Kessler has been inactive for a long time and is back with one good eye and one that is still improving... "now - RIGHT NOW, Bute is ready!!!.. let's do it NOW... it has to be ASAP!!!! Pleeeeeeeeze!!!!"

    Pathetic really.

If Bute's fans think Bute is the better man then let both fighter be close to top form first. If it just has to be right now because of hopes for rustyness, still one eye not perfect etc... then.... it is really pathetic.

Secondly, 3 mill $ is a decline in income for Kessler. He got about 3 mill for the Bouadla fight and in bigger fights he has been earning more that 3 mill per fights for some years now when fighting at home... now should he take a pay-cut to go to Canada???

Kessler earns more per fight that Bute is used to. Bute has recently come up to the level of 1.5 mill per fight. So everything points to a fight in November/December or early spring in Copenhagen with a carreer highest purse for Bute. Bute's manager also said after the recent fight that Bute would not fight in Canada for the next fights - so they know it will be Copenhagen in winter - also to allow a lot of Romanian fans to easily travel to the fight and for the fight to be broadcast prime-time in Denmark and Romania.

So - it will happen, but don't be pathetic by asking for "pleeeeze come while you are rusty and and recovering".

"Leaving the Montreal as the beltholder? "

Great! If Bute's people has that same attitude - then we know why they went after Stieglitz' belt... one reason could be to be able to call bull**** on this "Leaving the Montreal as the beltholder? "-idea.

IF Bute really wants the fight it will happen, but he is the least paid - the up-and-coming and should therefore take the chances that Kessler took in Sidney, in Wales and Froch took meeting Abraham and so on.

And not hide behind "Leaving the Montreal as the beltholder? " - if he does that Bute will remain on the outskirts of the division and can keep fighting second-tier opponents like he has done so far.
