Yeah, Kessler just said what he always says "I will fight anyone, but really it is up to the promoters to agree".

This was not a big deal anywhere - except for Canada. In Canada people started thinking that the fight was on and people were going...:

"how lucky can you get?!?!? Kessler just out for a year and a half with an injury and now coming back with one eye still not well... Wow!!! The most respected and biggest name in the division... and Bute get's to meet him at home, rusty and half-injured... wow!!! Do it - do it!!! now, now.. it has to be NOW!! And he said he would do it for FREE!!! Great, make it now! For free!! Perhaps we can pay the Eskimo sleigh to take him over the ice through Greenland. Anyway - no worries.. we will make sure there is extra tea-bags at the breakfast buffet when he comes.."

Anyone with half abrain knew that Kessler wasn't just coming to Montreal like that.

WTF would he whn he is WBC emeritus and can get a fight for the WBC belt when he wants to. Why would he want to go to Canada when Sauerland still has an option on Bute - and can have Bute fight in Germany if they decide to. Why would he when he has been promised the SS winner. And why would he when he is a bigger name than Bute and has meet far better people and Bute is the up and coming guy?

The Only thing Bute's people can hang their hats on was the paper title he has... so apparently that is what they did. Therefore the fight could not happen unless Kessler has a belt.

It is ridiculous that they make him go after a paper-belt and they know it - but I guess they were hoping Kessler would be so hungry to get a belt back that Bute's was the first chance... and they hoped Stieglitz would be impossible to make a deal with... They counted wrong.

Sincerely, I think Kessler got very very worried when he saw the body beating Bute put up on Magee, and I can't blame him. At this stage, a fight with Bute might take everything he got left.

    There we go.

Absolutely no arguments... just something about a breakfast you want..

The only argument was St. Juste... That was made up by Montreal media... "oh, he must be here looking at St. Juste... and perhaps then..."

The Montreal media got completely carried away by their own imagination. An some fans bought it - hook, line and sinker.

By the way - my post was about the general naiive attitude of some Bute fans... not really you, because I agreed with your post: That some people thought something was going to happen because of the feather their media took and made into 10 chickens.

Bottom line is that if Intersport are not being reasonable just because Bute has a belt... then well, Kessler will look elsewhere - but an advice would be for Bute to become more reasonable soon. Otherwise he could keep fighting second-tier guys where he can control the conditions.. for the remainder of his career.

    So - bottom line....

Stay-at-home Bute should grow some balls and come meet Kessler in Copenhagen or Froch in Nottingham. They have both paid their dues on the road.

    End of.

    So - bottom line....

Kessler fought for peanuts in the S6 and now wants a title shot and wants to make the calls and seems that 3 mil in not enough. I smell fear ....
