He didn't get his ass handed to him by JC - what fight were you watchng. If it had been a minute longer Calzaghe would have been f****d.

But I sure don't hope they take this guy. FYI Kessler tried to get a fight with Hopkins and Taylor, without success. This is just a promo to warm up for the winner of Froch/Taylor. Oh, and yes Taylor WILL beat Froch - Froch took way too many hits against Pascal to survive against a top fighter, middleweight or not.

Who the hell wants to fight Kessler?

    Dirrell, Ward, Allan Green?
I doubt it - the problem is that no-one really wants to face Kessler.
    Hopkins? Nahh....
    RJJ? retired...
Pavilk? nope, risk-reward nightmare for him...
Winky? could be but I doubt it...
Taylor? Nope...Taylor wants nothing to do with Kessler just yet...
    Lacy? should retire...

Who should he face then? If we are talking about Americans and/or people that will make some sort of impact on the American audience??

    Who?

Get your facts straight - Kessler called out just about everyone from 154 to 175 after the Calzaghe fight and and the Haussler fight was a mandatory. Mundine and Winky ducked him.

Chad Dawson would take a pit stop at a catchweight and hand Kessler his 2nd L.

Fang your head is full of **** and lack of knowledge. "Kessler do not calling out" Cant you read or remember or are you just plain stupid ?

Miranda and team did not play ball, only showboating for the media, they jumped more than Palle did, especially when Abraham was available.

Kesslers last to fights has not been of his own choosing. The forst fight gave him the belt back and he fought the nesxt one under loud protest even calling the fight a farce and potentielly dangerous for the German.

By the way it was a MÀNDATORY FIGHT ....no way to avoid it.

Why do think he shows up at all the big fights in person. What was he doing in the press conferences calzaghe/hopkins,jones challenging everybody present ? Because he is mildmannered and it not being his style.

Kessler would take any of the top tier fighters in smw if they would fight him, which they won't obviously, untill he is unavoiddable.

I meant names that are considered better than Berrio...

Mundine - Mundine doesnt want to have more of Kessler.
Pascal - Im not sure he is better than Berrio.
Miranda - Im not sure he is better than Berrio, but I would also still prefer Miranda.
    Balzsay - Who?
Zuniga - Not sure he is better really, but an ok fight.
Bika - Bika is probably a bit better, but not a huge difference.
Ward - Ward is not ready.
Green - Green hasn't said a peep in ages. Is he still boxing? IF he wants a title shot he needs to open his mouth and make some hype.
Lacy - Does Lacy want that?
    Mendy - He is retired.
Tsypko - He is not better than Berrio - anymore at least.

People need to stop making excuses for Kessler already. Everyone on ESB seems to be in love with the guy. One of the most overrated guys on here easily. If any other champion were fighting the bums he's fighting, they'd be ridiculed. I'm glad someone is finally calling him out.

SMW is filled with good opposition. He can get a fight against a legit opponent if he wants it. Keyword here is IF he wants it.

Decent rebuttals, but kinda convenient you left out the top 4 fighters he mentioned first huh? Along with guys around his weight class like Hopkins and Dawson

Obviously, no-one worthy of mentioning want´s to fight Kessler. A third fight in a row against next-to-no-names is clear proof of the state of affairs. Not even a stingy Mogens Palle would carry out such an idiotic planning for a fighter who had a good shot at Calzaghe.
As for the Miranda argument, it falls through because we could all see how he was taken care of by Abraham. Beating Miranda after Abraham did would do nothing or at least very little for Mikkel in the States.
The best we can hope for now IMO is that Kessler lands a spectacular win and makes an expression on the US-fans fight-action wise as well as publicity wise. Then we can hope Mikkels stocks go up with the US-fans. Only then will we get a great opponent for Mikkel. However sadly it sounds for a guy with Kessler's record, I'm affraid this reflects his situation in the States.

Yes, I left them out because they would be title unifications and while they should happen, they are usually a bit harder to negociate.

Of the none- unification fights there are not many against better people than Berrio. There are some that I would rather see though.. such as Miranda.

    True.

Abraham made a name in the US off the Miranda fight. Before the fight he was unknown, now he is fairly known. He still hasn't quite caught up with Kessler who had Calzaghe, Andrade etc shown in the US, but the Miranda fight surely showed a lot of people who Abraham is.
