Looking through this guys record...still can't figure out why he gets so many plaudits.

Better fighters like Hamed etc got so much more stick than this dude. The guys 30...common surely you cant be cutting much more slack for this comedian

    Anyway what his best win?

Andrade. The manner of it especially.

    Andrade.

Not easy to win every round against a pressure fighter that good.

    Not easy at all.

    Mundine closely behind.

I thought he fought superbly against andrade also.

But for me that is the only real opponent on his RESUME.

he needs a froch or Taylor...then i will start joining the fan club.

I don't think its the only name. All of the above were ranked, so I don't think you can really rag on him for fighting ranked opponents in his division. That's all you can really do...and then he tried to unify against Calzaghe.

Froch has only recently come along, but he really does need another big name win on his resume, I agree.

I would say Mundine also. He had a serious injury with his back before that fight, so he was only able to take about 30 sparring rounds, and didn`t train proberly. Many claimed he only looked 60% fit against Mundine! If you see the fight, notice he didn`t throw half the punches he did against Andrade and Calz, and still he looked extremely tired after the final bell, more than he ever looked before! If he was 100% he would have stopped Mundine inside 6 rounds, i have no doubt about that

I'd say Beyer, altough Markus was past it knocking him out like that was impressive.

theres so much talent in this division it shouldnt be hard for a name like kessler to land a big fight. he just needs to sort out his promotional issues. i also think andrade was his best win

    I voted for Mundine, a top 5 SMW back then, then a top3 SMW, now a top5 MW. It's a BIG win.

Andade was and now a top10 SMW again and Kessler utterly dominated.

Beyer was a top3 SMW and had the WBC title, and I feel that win is very underrated, although not the best. But when was the last time a unification fight ended that early? Tszyu-Judah?

Kessler has a pretty solid resume, but lately it's very disappointing.

Is it possible that you are a boxing since not very long? It's easy to say: I don't know those guys, they weren't good. At the time Kessler fought them, they were good names in the division. Lucas was a former champion, although not a great one. Mundine was rising in the division. Siaca was somebody too. Every time, his opponent's coach was saying Kessler was robotic and that he had discovered how to beat him. Each time, Kessler dominated outrageously the fight. Every time except once. That's a big exception. Today, every boxer he beat is no longer a big name, and many new names are rising. He needs to fight them, if not he won't keep the number 1 spot for very long. If Bute wins convincingly the rematch against Andrade and Kessler is still in a dispute with his manager, many people would believe Bute is the number one. If Taylor and Bute win their next fight and meet eachother, the winner will earn the number one spot. Because Kessler is doing nothing. That's for today. That shall not make us forget what Kessler did yesterday.

I think his win over Beyer could hardly have been more impressive. Beyer was a long standing WBC champ, it's easy to say now he was past it but he obviously thought he had Kesslers number going into it.

    I'm w/ you on this.

The Beyer win is good but a notch below his wins over Mundine and Andrade.

Kessler's best win is Andrade but a good case can be made for the win over AM.
