Ducking Stieglitz? More like ignoring him. Most likely, the cancellation of their fight had more with schedules and money to do, than fearing Stieglitz.

Kessler - even at the late autumn of his career - is still at much better fighter than Stieglitz.

    I hate politicking.

If Kessler and all these "good" fighters would actually take the fights they claim to want......oh nevermind, let's say we'll take the best then throw out 10 names, but the one who wants you since 09, nevermind him.....can't beat him, but I'll throw his name out there anyway.-:)-:)-:)-(

This is Kessler's version of "Who Nex'?" . Doesn't get you very far when the next fighter you face is much better than you.

Bute will be available this fall, win or lose against Froch. I'm not sure interbox will lose their tme negociatng with Sauerland again. Showtime would refuse the fight anyway so Bute vs Dirrell or Hopkins or Ward is more likely to happen.

Ward vs Kessler can be a competitive fight, assuming Kessler has not slipped too much. I would expect Ward to win again in a a clear UD. But if Ward aint allowed to lead with his head, hold every tenth second and charge in with the shoulder he will be forced to actually box, and Kessler is the second best boxer at SMW.

The KO was awesome but I'm not sure about his chin at 175. If Green rocked Kessler badly, what would happen if Cloud if apply the same punch. I'm not saying Kessler is not better than Cloud but for a first test at 175, the first round with Green scares me.

Do you know if Bute could break his contract with Showtime? This contract is not good for him anymore if Ward faces Dawson on HBO. Dirrell is one of the best but is high risk low reward ATM and Hopkins, whatever happens, you'll look like ****. A win means people would not give any credit he would deserve since they would be saying that he beat and old guy. If Bute lose the fight, just imagine the comments...

At this point, I assume that Bute got a good relationship with the IBF and the timing would be perfect for a Bute-Pascal fight for the IBF LHW title IF Pascal wins against Cloud.

A Cloud fight would test his durability, Cloud was outboxed by Campilo but Kess dosent have that kind of ring savvy....

It's not hard to school someone who can't see nothing...

You lose all your timing in the punches with one eye!

What should I call you now MR...?!?

I think that Kessler could have made it a bit more competetive if it wasn't for the fouls.. As the fight went on and as Kessler took punishment from the headbutts he came more and more out of rhythm and became frustrated.. The ******ed ref (Jack Reis i believe it is) allowed Ward to ram his head into Kessler's eye.

That being said... Kessler doesn't matchup well with Ward, his lineal punches won't connect on Ward since he is so good at ducking and slipping attacks, Kessler can't fight on the inside which is Ward's biggest strength, Ward will always be able to bully and beat Kessler on the inside, he also has very good speed and a jab that he can throw to both the head and body which will always keep Kessler busy, and then again his ability to slip and counter Kessler's jab will always be a nightmare matchup for Mikkel...
Ward's ability to avoid lineal attacks, his inside game and blazing speed is the reasons why he beat Kessler..
