I agree. By the way your sig isnt referencing the michael thomas 1989 goal is it, id be very upset if it was:|
If Calzaghe wants to fight on he should take on Dawson! Then there really will be nothing to prove for him! Kessler has done nothing to earn the second fight with Joe! And this fight will not add nothing to Calzaghes legacy! (dunno if Dawsons fight will give, but he is nr. LHW in the world IMO)
I hope not. Kessler was soundly beaten in the first fight. There's no need for a rematch. Not to mention what has Kessler done to deserve one? Won a vacant belt? Beaten two no-hopers one of which he dwarfed in the ring....pathetic.
yes it is and it brings me great joy knowing that night still haunts the mickey mousers. nothing personal.
After going over the possible revenue streams for Joe's next fight for my thread on Joe's $10 million payday for the Jones fight, this matchup makes financial sense. Mikkel is big in Europe, and could bring in some good $$$ in that market. I can understand this thinking because Kessler can open up the rest of Continental Europe in a way that Joe himself may not be able to.
Nah, it was a good match but I dont think a rematch will help Calzaghe is anyway. if he struggles to get up for fights, he shouldnt fight guys he already beat. Dawson is the obvious next choice for him, but I think he has plenty of options in Johnson, Diaconu, Erdei, Taylor, Pavlik, Froch, Abraham, if he wants to carry on fighting there is plenty of new names to get on the slate.
Hope not, he wont get any more respect than he currently gets. Dawson or retire. Great career either way.
Relax peps there is nothing to it. Calzaghe may take another bout. Enzo is trying to keep his options open and make it sound like he is affraid of nothing . It wont be against Kessler. Frock or Taylor is my bet as a farewell party in Wales
a Hopkins rematch !!!! the first one were borring as hell and not exiting so why the hell do a number 2??
