Calzaghe would have finished by now iof he felt he was on the decline. I think he's extremely, extremely arrogant, and would not risk his record by fighting when faded.

So, I'm ruling that out. And I think Calzaghe beats an orthodox boxer every time. comfy UD, possibly even a late stoppage. However, if Kessler wins, I hope no one blames it on Calzaghe's age.

The only thing JC has lost over the years was his once awesome power, which has suffered due to his brittle hands. That said, it meant that he never fell in love with his power and instead perfected his style.

Then two more fights for Calzaghe - Taylor, if he beats Pavlik, hopkins if he doesn't (Pavlik won't be seen as a "name", and that's what JC wants); and a light heavy tilt, Woods, Jones if he's a champ or the most dangerous fight out there for JC imo, Dawson.

Calzaghe wins by UD due to his superior workrate

Kessler is a very good boxer, very technical, and that will be his downfall vs Calzaghe, a southpaw, because Calzaghe is so unorthodox and so BUSY.

Kessler looks very uncomfortable against an opponent that attacks him straight up - he tends to jump straight back when this happens, and drops his hands when doing so - and I believe Calzaghe will capitalise on this with his unorthodox style and workrate and land many more punches on Kessler than Kessler will on Calzaghe.

It doesn't matter how Calzaghe has performed against inferior opponents - Calzaghe rises to his opponent's level, and he will be on song vs Kessler.

Calzaghe will out box Kessler, not like he did Lacy but still a pretty wide UD.

Kessler sure has got a good jab and straight right, but I don´t think that will cut it against Calzaghe...but we´ll see.

My bet is Calzaghe UD12, with a pretty wide margin.

Sure Joe would never accept the biggest payday of his life.....by far.If he could lose!!!.

    Right, are you serious ?

Do you think he is a ****** or something. He would show up with two broken hands and a missing foot.

The BS about Calzaghe always rises to the occasion and opposition.

Lets assume the good Lacy had a super shitty evening for some reason. Doing 50%, but not wanting it to be a bad excuse after the loss. How would you then rate Calzaghe superfights against his handpicked super opponents ?

Ashira the jr. middleweight, Manfredo, middleweight.....etc.

Calzaghe is living on the Lacyhype and more ridiculous, Eubank.

There will some hard realities to face Nov4.

Joe is soooo respectful when talking about Kessler. How come ?

Joe is usually respectful about most of the people he fights although he's predicted KOing Kessler. I think the points you make are mostly wide of the mark. The fact that they have both had roughly the same amount of fights makes your quality of opposition statement a bit ******ed. The names on JC's record **** all over those on Kesslers given the similar amount of fights. While Joe was fighting Ashira, Kessler was fighting Dean Williams. Who the hell is Orlando Javier Acuna or Gerard Zdziarski. He's also fought losers like Thysse recently. So if you pick out one or two names from ANY record, you can construe it any way.

There are a few bums on Joe's record but to Calzaghe's credit Robin Reid, Richie Woodhall, Byron Mitchell, Charles Brewer, Jeff Lacy, Chris Eubank & Kessler are good names.

Look at Joe in this interview at 1:10 and 1:23

When you are scratching your neck each time Kessler's name is mentioned - this is the "body language" saying: "**** I'm scared":scaredas: :yep

I never mentioned the number of fights. I am talking about the last 5 excluding Lacy.

But you fail to comment on the point... whether calzaghe would show up for a 5-10 mill usd fight he could lose.

I think he would, while you don't. Maybe this a good illustration of the die hard joeguys. Lack of realistic intelligence processing.

You are laughable. He talks about Kessler for the first minute without scratching anything except possibly his ****. So you are WRONG - it's not exactly "each time Kessler's name is mentioned". Joe's a little uncomfortable doing interviews, always has been.

Look at the 33 second mark of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eFM5XWLKow&mode=related&search= - Joe touches his nose. Everyone knows that this means he would lose to Evans Ashira in a rematch.

It's impossible to answer a question that has been phrased so badly.

I remember Ashira from when he boxed for TeamVester or whatever. He was ok, but no contender. Neither was Manfredo, nor Bika.

What they have in common is the fact that they migrated to SMW from much lighter divisions. Honest talk, they are journeymen to be. Blocky calls them future worldchampions. Ágain, this is dilusional and completely irrational, but reflects the level of deduction and logical thinking of a diehard joefan.

Lets see Joe rise to the challenge, or get humiliated in front of 60.000+, which it certainly thinks he will.
