Froch wants him to go to war. He shouldn't bother with a war, he's the better boxer. Definitely. This tournaments turning out to be a huge success, and they've only fought one round.
He can, however, pick him off from the outside, especially if he isn't getting overwhelmed with speed and therefore able to settle into a comfortable rhythm. If Dirrell can buzz Froch, it won't take many flush one-twos... Taylor is an interesting one, as he physically has the tools to do what Ward did in theory, but he's always fallen short of his athletic potential and had a more predictable ham-and-eggs approach himself. If he goes to war and brings it to Kessler he might find some success - clearly you don't need to be a power puncher to trouble him (both Calzaghe and Ward are considered every bit as featherfisted as Jermain, while the extremely heavy handed Andrade didn't win a round). If he abates on the outside, somewhat gunshy like he was against Abraham, he'll be knocked out harder and faster. Overall I give Taylor (even worse for the wear) a better chance than Froch, actually. Provided he's not ruined mentally.
Taylor isnt an inside fighter though he likes range. Ward can box from the outside and the inside. I cant see how this will benefit taylor and since taylor lacks great defense I favor Kessler in that match up. Unless Froch somehow stops Kessler, which is possible.
Im with you Mex J I think Froch can probably batter that ass in a duel of the stiffs as Froch is better inside and in a mauling brawling affair The Danish Pastry isnt as good as Froch!
