    According to danish tabloid BT

    http://www.sporten.dk/kessler-traet-af-team-palle

Kessler and Team Palle havn't been in contact for 2 months. Kessler has hired a lawyer and his PR-guy has applied for promoter license. Details in the paper which I will go down and buy now.

Team palle is a joke. His talks about doing it the hard way makes me angry. This could be as devastating for Kessler as it was for Larsen.
I seriously hope that it won´t be the case.

" Palle has the right to do the next 3 fights with Kessler, and said he will play it the hard way if so, he did that to Larsen."

I hope this isn't an excuse to fight 3 more tomato cans.

    It isn't that easy.

While Denmark was the first country in the world to abolish slave trade, Palle has his own slave operation going. He always makes sure that he has all kinds off options etc. on hs fighters way into the future. So only way to get out from his outfit is to retire for several years.

Not much more in the article.
    • Kessler claims that the options he signed to Palle was part of the fightcontract he signes before each fight and that Palle thereby represents his own interests and not Kesslers as he is paid to in that situation.
    • Kesslers friend is applying for a promoter license in order to learn more about the legal issues involved and is not actually going to represent Kessler.
    • Palle wants his option for 3 Kessler fight and is closing shop after that.

I think Golden Boy or Sauerland should pay off Palle quick and start making some big fight. I a bit affraid that neither may be willing to pay what Palle wants and put up the money to lure other big names to fight "The Poison" on risk not breaking even for a quality product before 4 or 5 fights or so

    Nope.

    IT is a fact.

Sure, some countries like Khasakstan and the like abolished it sooner, but out of the slave trading countries. In other words the countries with significant fleets (think of them as the OPEC of the time), Denmark was the first to step out of the community and abolish slave trade.

Great news. If the report turns out to be true and if Kessler can get out of his association with Palle without the negative repercussions of a Larsen type situation then that would be great for his career and great for boxing. The guy is a talent and in a good position to land a few big fights. It has become more than apparent that Palle will avoid any risky fight to protect their investment. Claiming that they weren't interested in a Dawson fight cos' he was really a dehydrated cruiser-weight was a clear and disturbing sign of their intentions. ******ed. Kessler is one of the biggest SMWs I've ever seen. Such a statement just makes Kessler look like a *****.

    Wait a minute!

What legal action can Palle do if Kessler steps into the ring outside of Denmark, especially the US? Kessler lives in Monaco, Palle lives in Denmark and have a local licence. Can he stop Kessler fighting in another country?

As long as Kessler is ranked in one of the big four sanctioning bodies, he can not get out of his contractual agreements with Palle. That is if he has the same arrangement as Mads Larsen had. On the other hand this does not seem legal...

I hope he can get out of his contract quick. This might put a ****** wrench in Mikkel's 2009.
