this goes to show, how difficult it is, for european fighters to break through in the us..

a fighter like mikkel, is a risk/reward nightmare..

it seems as if some american fighters, would rather fight each other.. and to a degree its understandable..

mikkel doesnt strike me, as a guy, who bullshits about this issue, we have heard, for a long long time, about his dreams, and fighting in the us..

I personally think Kessler is the champ at super middle, him and Pavlik would be a good match up.Kessler would beat Taylor up and probably beat Froch but not easily

It's ironic that Calzaghe is the only one being honest. He's fought him, beat him and won't go there again. The type of honesty that gets **** flung at him from all sorts of directions. Kessler is a big threat to anyone from 160-175lbs yet none of the names mentioned are prepared to risk a fight with him.

The great Americans praise Kessler but won't go anywhere near the negotiation table. But they can slag him off for not fighting outside Europe. What a nation!

Some of you may recall Kessler pulled out of a showcase fight on the #2 American boxing network under bitter circumstances for no verifiable reason this last year. That kind of stuff doesn't go over well with TV people. If HBO wanted Kessler vs. Taylor it would get made. If HBO wanted Kessler vs. Dawson it would get made. Kessler's industry buzz should be what right now? After ****ing off Showtime and beating Sartison and Haussler?

the guy is obviously quality mate and is recognised as the best at the weight by everybody . He is blatantly being avoided , i don't think taylor wants ny part of him, i can't see a way for taylor to win that fight.

Maybe Mikkel is the most feared fighter in boxing, or most avoided at least. We are missing out here in the states with no big names wanting to fight him. I hope he gets a fight here soon. He and Paul Williams seem to be having trouble getting big names. If Paul could fight over 160 that would make sense but might be to early for him to fight a guy that big.

Kessler and his team are full of ****, they're claiming they're being ducked by everyone including Chad Dawson after turning down the prospect of fighting Dawson and saying Chad is too big, even though Dawson started as a MW. Now 'Dawson doesn't want to fight KEssler' STFU

Didn't Team Kessler turn another big fight down a while ago, might have been Taylor or someone

Mikkel Kessler is having the same problem that Joe Calzaghe had when he was younger with Sven Ottke and of course, Bernard Hopkins.

Kessler at this moment is simply too high a risk with too little reward.

But hey, I've got no doubt that people looking at it superfically will continue to mock him for facing Sartison etc rather than fully considering why he's not getting certain fights.

Personally, I think his best option is to go after Froch or a fellow belt holder, become unified again and force Taylor to go through him if he wants 168 supremacy.

After that, he should have some sort of profile in the States allowing fights with the likes of Dawson and Pavlik to be made in the future.

You don't really think the guys he mentioned think Kessler can actually beat them do you? They can't be disregarding him because he's Euro and terrified to face him all at the same time.
