All the "super" belts and "interim" titles are also messing with the achievement of being a world champion. I don't understand how you can be the WBA regular champion of the world when there is a SUPER champion, who actually is the real WBA champion.
I understand that the organizations can have different champions and all that. Boxing is a business after all (I don't think it's right, but I understand it). But having several "champions" in the same division is taking it too far in my books.

This pretty much. there are potentially good fights to be made involving Kessler. I wouldn't advise him to fight Ward or Kovalev at this stage though.

    Best of luck to him.

I don't see how that would be an easy payday, especially if he were to lose. Their previous fights didn't look easy for either fighter.

If and its an if, Kessler is fully fit without vision problems and injury, it wouldnt be bad for him to have a rematch with Ward in Europe if Ward would be willing to travel like Kessler did, though like Froch, age is possibly against Kessler a bit now

He never said the name Golovkin.

He said he would be "willing to move up or down in weight" for a big enough fight and with enough advance notice to settle into the weight comfortably - though without taking a tuneup.

Thread starter is who I was replying to.

Kessler never said Golovkin's name in the presser.

if he truly feels he's got something left, then why not. go for it.

i'm not interested in a 3rd Froch fight.

if Groves beats Froch, then i'd be interested in that one going off.

    Golovkin sounds good.

i'd like the Ward rematch, but only if it takes place outside of the U.S. but apparently, like a few times now, Ward has priced himself out and asked for stupid money that he isn't worth.

when will this boggle eyed cheat get it in to his thick head that he isn't the A side and never will be???

Ward has done his usual duck with the Kessler rematch. he's priced himself out because he thinks he should be the A side and get the most money. :patsch

    when will he learn.
